I took this tour out of convenience, because I didn't have a car to get to Masada. Like the other reviewers, I was very disappointed at the tour structure and timing. More time was spent at the Ahava cosmetics store than at the Masada site (1 hour vs only 45 minutes!), lunch was uninspiring grub at a souvenir stop, Ein Gedi and Qumran were not visited at all, just pointed out from the bus. This is a perfect example of why some travelers are leery of escorted bus tours. Fortunately I was able to visit Masada again later with a friend who drove me, and spent some quality time there. Don't sell yourself short, that amazing site needs at least 2 hours.

Did the Nasareth.Tiberias and Kapernaum day trip and it was well worth the money spent.

Booked two trips through Egged, but actually went with tour company Baim Harim. On the first day we went to the Golan Heights. Our tour guide, Joseph, was awesome. He was passionate and wanted to ensure we had a great, memorable trip. He took us to places not on the tour list, showed us local plants and animals. The Golan Heights is beautiful! Joseph is a star!

On the second day, what a difference. We went to Nazareth, Galilee and Tiberius. To be honest, we didn't read the small print and didn't realise that it was a trip around a load of churches. However, when we arrived at Narareth, the first thing we did was go to the souvenir shop. For 45 minutes! Most people stood outside waiting the heat, not impressed. I think the tour company, or the rep, was on commission. It was a very expensive shop too! We didn't stop in Tiberius or by the Sea of Galilee. Very, very disappointing tour. The guide also lost his temper when people asked him repetitive questions.

I went on the Bethlehem & Jericho Tour with Egged Tours. I enjoyed it. There will be people on the tour who will only be going to Bethlehem but will have the option of continuing to Jericho after leaving Bethlehem. In Bethlehem, you will part with the driver and meet your Palestinian tour guide on the other side of the check point. He was quite informative and able to answer questions from the group. Before leaving, you will visit a souvenir shop where we were told we could buy all of our Christian souvenirs and support the shop run by Christians. Jericho was nice. The highlight for me was seeing the Sycamore tree and meeting a new friend. The restaurant we stopped at was friendly and not so expensive, plus you have a choice dependent upon how much you'd like to spend and what you'd like to eat as it's buffet style. The food was great with great fresh juices. If you're going in the summer, it is hot and you will be walking in the open a lot. So, make sure you protect yourself from the sun and drink enough water.

Took the Jerusalem Old City tour and it was just terrible. The guide had very little knowledge beyond her script and couldn't answer most questions. It's too bad since the tour office is conveniently located inside Jaffa Gate, but you'd do better to find another tour company.
