“Lovely refuge from the crowdy old city of Jerusalem”
Reviewed April 12, 2012

Visiting the Austrian Hospice in the old city of Jerusalem offers the guest some good coffee, even Melange, Cafe Latte and Espresso, very good Austrian cakes, nice service and a wonderful garden, where you can enjoy the delicious food underneath tall olive-trees.
After walking on the Via Dolorosa - you'll feel like being in a heavenly, peaceful place.

“A favorite in the Old City”
Reviewed February 5, 2012

They perfect place to take a break and grab a coffee. If you live in Jerusalem, great place to read and have a light meal. Fabulous german food - apple strudel, chocolate cake, spaetzle, etc, beautiful peaceful garden in the middle of the Old City. If you're just passing through, great place to stop for a break/afternoon coffee.

“An Austrian oasis in the Old City of Jerusalem”
Reviewed January 19, 2012

A place to enjoy a real good coffee and Austrian pastry.
Service with a smile and first class quality.
From the roof of the place you have one of the best views of the Old City.

“Austrian Hospice: Viennese Cafe”
Reviewed December 29, 2011

Who would have thought one could find a Viennese Cafe in Jerusalem? Not I but I did. My cousin promised a unexpected European adventure in Jerusalem and when we entered the Austrian Hospice (a hostel, by the way) we walked into a bit of Old Vienna. A walk up to the roof offered a spectacular view of Jerusalem and a walk back downstairs to the first floor led to a lovely garden cafe. We ordered coffee and apple strudel. Both quite delicious and revitalizing after a day-long walk through the Old City.

“Visit it for the place , the food is bad”
Reviewed November 13, 2011

A strange experience of getting to Europe at the middle of the noisy and crowded old Jerusalem. Pictures of the Austrian keizar and so on the walls , nice garden and view from the roof.
The food itself is poor and the coffee is medium quality.
Still I think that it is worth a visit for the place itself.
