We highly recommend the tapas bar over the restaurant. From dinner with my out-of-town parents to sipping wine with my husband, being here has always been a pleasure. The dishes change often, as all food is seasonal. If you can read Hebrew, enjoy the sarcasm and whitty remarks... sadly the English menu is more straight forward.
Also, a suggestion, only go with people willing to share! You will want to try everything. Be sure to save room for dessert!

I had a superb night here with a group of friends, some local Jerusalemites and some visiting from out of town. The setting is hip: in the dirty, somewhat run-down streets around the market. Service is impeccable: relaxed, funny, charming, and personal. We shared starter plates between us, and a very fresh tomato salad was outstanding as was a pot of warm polenta with asparagus and mushrooms. The mains are very different - ranging from lighter, pasta based dishes to heavy Ashkenazi style food (chicken livers on mashed potato for example). Everything was delicious. Puddings were sensational, especially a cheesecake in a little jar. Very highly recommended. Bookings are necessary, but i'd recommend calling the restaurant (they speak English) rather than relying on the website booking service.

What a menu and what a place! Very interesting decor and bar area. Great menu that changes daily, very in and hip items. Make a reservation early as they are very filled up
