We had an incredible 2-week tour with Danny Herman in May 2015, so much better than we had ever dreamed would be possible! Due to a disability, my husband has limited ability to walk or stand for long periods. Consequently, he moves fairly slowly with a cane and takes rests frequently. Our trip could not have been better managed or more enjoyable! Danny and his associate Daniel Bashira were incredibly helpful and utterly patient. Their ability to navigate to handicapped-accessible parking in areas crowded with other tourists was truly astounding! Daniel Bashira’s ability to get us quickly and easily to the focal points of West Bank Christian locations was fantastic; we would never have believed a guide would have this fabulous ability. Danny’s cheerful flexibility in re-arranging the scheduled destinations on several days to accommodate my husband’s energy levels was greatly appreciated. Both men are charming, very articulate, knowledgeable and entertaining (and handsome too!).

With regard to the tour content: We were absolutely delighted with our visit to Israel. Waking up very early on our first day (due to jet lag) to see the sun rise over the Sea of Galilee was a very special start to our trip. Our “wish list” of sites to visit was fairly intensive by our standards, but Danny worked out a daily itinerary that was comprehensive yet practical. He really helped us understand the sights that we were viewing in their historical and Biblical context. He can also speak with authority regarding the probability that a site actually matches its traditional designation and provides his rationale in clear, understandable terms. In addition to his in-depth archeological knowledge, Danny is very informative about current day Israeli life. His driving skills are amazing and his vehicle is very comfortable.

Having Danny's associate Daniel Bishara to guide us to Bethlehem, the River Jordan, Jericho, the Mount of Olives, etc. was excellent. His grasp of and interpretative skills with the New and Old Testament are exceptional. Especially during the visit to the Mount of Olives, he really helped us to better understand the last days of Jesus. He is also a person of immense patience and kindness, and understands the value of reflection time on a pilgrimage. As mentioned above, he has an extraordinary ability to move his clients directly to sites of interest. We were so lucky that he is the Christian Palestinian associate of Danny Herman.

We have used personal guides also in Turkey, Japan, Thailand and Equador, but this is by far the best experience we have had. We recommend Danny Herman's services without reservation to all clients, disabled or not.

We could not have imagined a better time in Israel. Thank you, Danny!!!

I would recommend visit to Jerusalem with Danny to anyone who wants really to explore the heart of this amazing culture and religion conglomerate. Danny way of story telling is fascinating and he's got such a deep university background that he can impress even really demanding individuals. Not less important: he's a great guy with charming personality, so it's a real pleasure to spend time with him. Highly recommended!

We have just had two different full days with Danny and we have been extremely pleased with his knowledge, personal style and ability to explain the rich history and archaeology of Israel. He answered all of our many questions and his own archeological experiences as a digger, student and teacher contributed to a very meaningful experience.
We will certainly ask Danny to be with us again when we return.

Was in Israel for a business trip and Danny the Digger was recommended by a colleague for tours. A group of us toured with Danny for 2 days. It was a fantastic experience! Danny was extremely knowledge and it was great to have him explain the different sights through the Christian, Jewish, Arab, and archeological perspectives. He was very flexible with timing and where we wanted to go and what to see with plenty of great recommendations for things to do in Tel Aviv during the rest of our trip as well. I would recommend Danny to anyone visiting Israel and wanting a great tour and amazing experience exploring the different sights.
