As part of the International Master of Public Health (2013/2014) of the Hebrew University activities, I had the opportunity to have this amazing trip with my classmates.

Danny is an extraordinary guide, he kept us interested in the tour all the time, because he has a knack for telling the history.

The fact that Danny is an archaeologist, makes this tour even more interesting, because he knows many interesting facts and explains them in a way that you can almost feel that was there when these events happened.

Knowing the ancient city of Jersusalem is a unique experience that has to be made at least once in life.

This tour with Danny is definitely recommended.

Danny ought to be the first person you call when you are planning a trip to Israel.
He is a master at weaving colourful archaeological & historical facts into endless possibilities of plots which we had to think about and solve. We retained him for 8x days! They were intense but immensely fun at the same time. They were thought-provoking, absorbing and interactive. We digest it all with gusto and left with a feeling we'd just done a master class.
He also had an excellent local knowledge which included where to eat!
We travelled as far up and close to the boarder of Syria. We watched the smoke and guns/bombs go off. We luxuriate in the local spa and relish banquets of delicious organic food. Toda Danny -We are exceedingly grateful to you for a memorable time in Israel. Marianne & Stewart Y

This was a great experience. Danny not only knows his way around present and past archeological digs, but he knows others (all very important) who are directly involved in those digs, and he somehow made those folks available to us. He managed to pack at least 20 years of his own experiences into 12 days of our tour. I never thought I would see and learn so much in such a short amount of time. I would recommend Danny to everyone - whether your group is large or if you want a personal guide, he has the personality and the ability to organize a tour especially for you, and if something happens (or you need to alter what has been planned), Danny has a way even making those changes seem like the original plan. It was truly a joy to be with him from start to finish.

Visiting Israel with Danny is a trip to the past as well as it can be known in the present. We travelled underground in Jerusalem to see the realities of the first century and visited ancient sites which had been underground until excavated by archaeologists. Danny was excellent at providing context on site and connections between sites and to the Israel Museum, where we could have used a little more time with his comments and advice on where to look.

Our group was in Israel 12 days with Danny Herman. Danny KNOWS archeology and KNOWS how to use it to tell the story. Danny KNOWS local culture and history and KNOWS how to weave that into the story. Danny KNOWS where the best local, diversely ethic lunch places are all over Israel.
Excellent tour guide !!
Good hat !

You will not be disappointed.
