We were to have a one day stop at Ashdod on our cruise, and we wanted to fit in as much as we possible. I booked this tour online after doing much research, "Guided Tours Israel" seemed to be highly recommended - and they did not disappoint!
We were a group of 8 adults (4 couples) and a private tour in our own Bus sounded very attractive. After exchanging a few emails, the Tour was easily booked, with the option to pay at the end of the day.
On arrival, our Guide Michal, the Bus and driver were waiting for us very close to the Ship. Michal made us feel extremely welcome to Israel.. She was very knowledgeable and experienced - and quickly tailored the tour to suit. We had a wonderful time in Jerusalem - stopping several times to see important sites and views, and taking us in to places that we would not have been able to find on our own. Michal was able to make this a very special day for us. She was constantly checking our needs, and we always felt safe. We then travelled on to the Dead Sea, where Michal explained what we needed to do. We had a great afternoon there - and then we were expertly driven back to the Ship in plenty of time. I highly recommend this company as being professional and reliable as well as good value for money. There is no doubt that as a small group, we had much better personal attention than if we had been on a coach of 30 or more.

Thank you so much for the nice and thorough review! Michal (a.k.a. Mickey) is a very caring and dedicated guide - a very rare individual in her endless energy and passion for guiding. We are very happy that you have enjoyed your visit and of course travelling in s small group of only 8 persons makes it a lot easier to see more and enjoy the attention of the guide than if you had to do it with 50 people in a big bus. We offer small-group tours for this reason as our guests get to save on the price and still get a better experience than with the ship's tours or any other private arrangement. We pride ourselves on being the best value for money option in Israel for shore excursions from the ports of Haifa and Ashdod. Thank you again for your nice review and hopefully you will have more than one day for your next visit :-)

Toda Raba!

There were (4) of us in our group on a 12-night Holy Land cruise. Before we left, I booked us on a private tour with Guided Israel after extensive Internet research – all highly recommending them. This was a semi-private group in a small van. All of the people who were on our tour were awesome.

All of the communications prior to booking were with Leo, who answered all of my questions thoroughly and promptly. I instantly felt good about confirming us on tours for both of our days in Israel (our ports were Ashdod and Haifa).

We had the same tour guide both days, which worked out perfectly for us – we had Jerry, who was AMAZING! He gave us in-depth information about the culture, history and sites that were just incredible – it really made the trip. And, he threw in some funny jokes too.

Thanks to Jerry, Israel was my favorite of all our stops. We toured Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nazareth, the River Jordan and Galilee – we saw all the major attractions: Western Wall, Via Dolorosa, Church of the Holy Sepulcher, Mount Zion/Olives and more.

Jerry and our driver faced a challenging obstacle on our first day, as for the first time in history there was a Formula 1 event in Jerusalem. They did an amazing job getting us to all of the sites and navigating through the road closures and traffic. We actually ended up walking more than normal for the tours, but we loved it! We actually felt very lucky to have walked more around the city – it just added to our experience. There were no issues either day getting back to the port on time – they were amazing at keeping us on schedule and we didn't miss a single site on our list.

When visiting Bethlehem (which is actually in Palestine), we had to go through a security checkpoint where our guide changed just for this part of the trip. Our guide for that portion of the trip was Sam, and he was awesome too.

I loved every second of our tour and HIGHLY recommend them!!

The only feedback I have that is less than perfect: we were told that the optional lunch would be around $10-$20, but it ended up being $25 per person – no matter what you ordered (you picked your main dish and appetizers were also included). The food was good but too pricey, in my opinion. I would have rather been prepared for that or brought my own food or had more choices in what to order. I do recommend bringing snacks and plenty of water, just always seems like a good idea to me.

If you are planning to visit Israel, definitely book with Guided Israel Tours – it was an amazing experience and value! Can’t say enough great things about them! You will not be disappointed!

We very much enjoyed our tours with GTI, and had Michal as our guide. She was very knowledgable and humorous and took us with our group of 16 on a terrific tour both days. Although we were a mixed religious group, she knew much of the scriptural basis for the places we visited. Our pace was fairly rapid but this allowed us to see so many sights in a short time frame and we were back to the ship in plenty of time. I would highly recommend this company.

We took a tour of Jerusalem & Dead See, shared the car with two other people (4 total). Our guide, Ehud, was absolutely great - passionate, knowledgeable, communicative and caring. He went out of the way to make sure that our experience was great and that we learned a lot, had a chance to take great photos and travelled around safely

We initially hesitated to cram so may activities in 1 day but after the tour realized that 1/2 day in Jerusalem is more than enough for the first visit - any more and we would be overheated. The dead see beach trip was a good ending for the day

Also had a great experience with GTI in general, highly recommend.

Also - stay away from ISRAM tours that GTI does not offer (but can help you book) - the experience is way-way worse than GTI's own tour

We booked the semi private tour to Bethlehem and Jerusalem. Ended up having 3 more people which was perfect. Guided tour Israel provided a great luxurious SUV, fully air conditioned, pickup and drop off right from our hotel.

Our tour guide was extremely knowledgable and funny which really made this 8 hour tour special.

We can only recommend Guided Tour Israel and cant wait to return to Israel.
