I’m so glad I found Abraham on tripadvisor. This was my first visit to Israel and I was traveling solo. I stayed in a 6-female dorm and I quickly made friends with other fellow travelers. The staff was always helpful, especially the Travel staff who booked all my tours with Abraham Tours. They also have daily activities, including a free concert that I was able to be a part of so even if you don’t have things to do in the evening, you’ll always find something to do at the Hostel.

The Shabbat Dinner is a must as you get to prepare the dinner with other travelers and some of the staff and you learn about what your typical Israeli family is doing on a Saturday evening. The dinner is amazing so definitely sign up for it.

Abraham Hostel became my home away from home and I will definitely stay here again!!

This busy hostel is in a very convenient location - walking distance from the Central Bus Station and right on a stop of the light rail.

I stayed in a private room, and although the decor is on the spartan side it is clean. The hostel is on a busy intersection, but I barely heard anything during the night.

The lounge is a great place to hang out in in the evening. We took a tour in the morning to Bethlehem with Abraham tours, and it's great to be picked up at the hostel in the morning.

It's definitely a nice hostel in Israel. Location is perfect, just a few minutes from the light rail, and another a few minutes to the old city. Rooms are large, but I was living in one on basement, it's noisy in the morning because the windows are open to a busy street. Common area sells freshly brewed beer and provides free breakfast with many options. A travel agency is in the lobby to provide information and some guided tour services. Culture sharing class every night in common room, and some guided tour also available everyday. They also send new year greetings during Christmas and new year seasons.

This is one the of best hostels in the world, I have stayed in many and it comes equal first for me. (The wild rover chain in South America is equal first). I unfortunately broke my leg whilst in Jerusalem and most of the staff were amazing and very accommodating especially Noam on the travel desk. (Thanks mate) also the people behind the bar to help numb the pain ;)

I will totally recommend this hostel to anyone coming to israel.

This has been by far the best hostel I've ever stayed at, though also the most expensive, just shows you get what you pay for. The staff were great and the hostel was clean (clean!) and comfortable. Great organised activities like shabbat dinner and open mic night. Kitchen facilities are excellent and everything is very organised and thought out so that it makes things super easy for the backpacker. Washing machines and dryers too for washing. Great common area, very comfy hang out space. We stayed here while the snow was at its worst and we spent most of the days inside. It was a nice place to be for this.

Location wasn't fabulous for visiting the old city, about a half hour walk away, made more difficult when walking through icy slushy snow. If you don't mind taking the tram, that cuts down on walking. Though if you want to see the market, it's right there, and not too far from central bus station (about half hour walk).

I loved this place. It has a great location just off the tram/lightrail. It is within walking distance from the old city. There was good breakfast every morning for a long time. It had clean, nice rooms. And the lounge was good. But the best part was in their advice and tours. I was able to see WAAAY more of Israel because of their help. If I had to do it over I would just stay at their place my whole trip and go on day trips out from there. It was amazing. My favorite tour was their Best of the West Bank tour. But all of those we went on were great. Their staff is amazingly helpful and friendly.

Room Tip: It was amazing. It is just kinda loud. I used ear plugs and had a great experience!

I stayed at the Abraham Hostel for two nights after having it recommended to me by a friend who lives in Tel Aviv. All off the staff there really go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and are always happy to assist you with any questions you may have. There really never is a dull moment there!

Happy hour in the bar upstairs is always a treat and hit the rooftop terrace to soak up the evening air. The organised hostel events are pretty rad too. Was there for the night of the bar crawl and that was great, getting to see some of the smaller bars away from the main streets.

Also, great prices too, especially on the dorm-style rooms.
