“It was a pleasure!!!”

I really enjoyed my stay at the Abraham Hostel in Jesusalem. The location was great, only about a 10 minute walk from the Old City and even less to Ben Yehuda Street and the Mahane Yehuda market. Clean, large dorm rooms. Nice showers. Great common area with good breakfast. Large internet cafe with webcams and headsets(good for Skyping). All and all a very nice place and an exceptional value. I hope to return again.

This is a nice, CLEAN hostel. Even the communal showers are very clean. I would definitely stay here if travelling with a group. In general, both Tel Aviv and Jerusalem are pretty expensive to stay in, so I guess this was pretty good value.

Definitely go on the Holy City tour (the one you pay for) advertised. We didn't know that much about religious history, so it was very helpful and informative, especially for a first day thing to get your bearings on the Old City.

The Dead Sea-Masada tour that was recommended to us by this hostel was a bit overpriced, I think (for what it was---didn't even include entry fees or a guide). If travelling with people, you could probably rent a car and go there on your own---this would probably be less expensive and just as convenient as Israeli roads are not difficult to maneuver.

Two other complaints:
1. The shower in our private bathroom had no curtain, so water splashed everywhere. We ended up showering in the communal showers instead.
2. It was not possible to shut the windows at night (they are quite high up), and if there are loud people socializing outside the hostel at night, you will be able to hear it loud and clear. I was woken up each night by different people (although each time, they were Americans---first time, what sounded like two drunk frat boys arguing, second time, an older man pissed off about corporations and ranting about getting his money back from one. Please please shut up, no one cares---what is it with annoying loud American tourists? I'm an American myself, and it's a bit embarrassing that we carry this reputation around with us thanks to an annoying few).

Other than that, I was pleased with my stay here, and would recommend to budget travellers.

This is a very new hostel and I absolutely loved it! It had a great atmosphere even though the crowd was mixed (age wise). The staff was great, helpful, young and ready to immerse you in things the city offers (and to help you meet people in the hostel). They even organize tours (which are much less formal than those you book online), take you to places that regular tourists don't frequent (markets and stuff), give you more info than a regular tour guide would give you. They all speak perfect English, facilities are great: they have a day-bar and a bar that operates in the evenings, huge kitchen, lounge with billiard, quiet room, computer room, free wi-fi everywhere. I just felt very welcomed and secure. You just get there and there is no way you won't meet someone.
I stayed in 6 bed all female room, and we had a bathroom (although there are additional bathrooms on the floor), and a kitchenette. Each bed had it's own locker, just make sure you bring your own lock.

the Hostel is 15-20 minutes far from the old city (by walk). The rooms are quite simple, and the furnitures are not particularly new; nonetheless, it is one of the best value for money in Jerusalem, and apparently the best in its category. The staff are very nice and friendly; the w-fi is free of charge and there is a laundy service at very convenient price (wash and dry for €4). A hint: if you book for a private room, we noticed that the difference between the standard and the superior room is not worth the +10€ price.

This place is perfectly located about halfway between the Central Bus Station and the Old City, and adjacent to the Mehane Yehuda market. Easy access to the Old City, Downtown, and West Jerusalem sites. They keep the whole place squeaky clean and the dormitory and common areas are spacious, so you can spread out when you need to. The lockers are inside the dorm, which I found very convenient, and the people there (both staff and guests) couldn't have been nicer.

Room Tip: Dorm 014 has ample room, and an adjoining bathroom

Abraham Hostel is located conviniently near Old City and Ben Yehuda Street, not far away from International Convention Center and Central Bus Station. For anyone who wants to experience Jerusalem I would advice to rely on Abraham Hostel as a kind of hub with friendly staff and decent conditions.

Stayed at this hostel at the beginning of March. While the hostel is fairly new, the staff and management have nailed exactly what hostel travelers are looking for. The rooms are clean, with showers and hot water. There is free internet and a great lounge with bean bag chairs and a bar. The vibe about this place is simply fantastic and the staff go out of their way to help you have a good time in Jerusalem. By far one of the best hostels I've stayed at!!
