We stayed here for 4 nights as part of our trip to the Holy Land.
The food was very good - breakfast and dinner..... the breakfast highlight was the superb bread / rolls and the made to order omelettes.
The bar was reasonably priced and the barmen (and Reception staff) were efficient and pleasant - for the smoker there were a couple of tables at the front of the hotel.
Our room was comfortable and clean - with a small fridge - although the AC unit refused to work.
The hotel is a 10 minute walk to Damascus Gate of the Old City - the walk is perfectly safe - we did it a number of times.
The outside pool and terrace looked a bit forlorn (we could see it from our room) - the pool looked as though it had not been cleaned for a long time and the terrace and pool appeared to be shut (well it was late Feb / early March).
Wifi was free for the first hour (the Reception staff provide the user name and password) and there were a couple of terminals by the bar that provided free internet access.
I would stay here again.
