The food was wonderful and presented with a variety of delights! I couldn't even sample all that was offered. Offered were wonderful fruit sorbets that tasted delightful ! The staff friendly both at the check-in and dining area, and always wore a smile. Yael, the hotel manager, was over the top with a big heart and big smile to make you feel welcome. She became like family ! The hotel is close by the Old City for a nice walk, and the gift shop is lovely as well. We were also offered an hour of free internet service, as well as free calls to the usa! Most hotels I have been in do not offer those amenities. Leonardo is one to consider on your next trip to Israel.

Sometimes what you experience goes way beyond a room size or early checkin. At the Leonardo, not only were those things provided, but it was the people, the STAFF, who took this hotel from a 'very good' to an 'excellent' rating. The hotel manager, Jael, was truly an angel in disguise, who accommodated our every need (a party of 12) with grace and generosity. She is an excellent ambassador not only for the hotel, but for her country, Israel, as well. The restaurant staff and the food were truly first rate, excellent in variety, taste, and abundance. The security personnel personally delivered my lost purse to my room, with a smile. The 'boys at the bar' never falled to smile as they handled our endless requests for tea, coffee, ice, whatever. Inam in the dining room beamed as she served us endless lattes. The Leonardo felt like home after a few short hours, and our hearts would pull us back there time and time again. Besides all that, the pool is lovely, it is an easy walk to the old city, and a colorful neighborhood with excellent views from our 8th floor balconies. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: The 8th floor rooms have balconies, which added immensely to our experience.

Hotel is well located. We found staff, for the most part, to be very eager to help. We arrived at 6 AM for our reservation when checkin was scheduled for after noon. Staff pushed to clear two rooms for us so that we could get some immediate rest. Facility and rooms are very comfortable.

Room Tip: View from my room was nice. But it was only the third floor. I assume a higher floor would be better...

We went for a special 2 day deal for the holiday of Simchat Torah in this hotel in East Jerusalem. The facilities were ok but the reception desk was very understaffed and not very helpful with questions we had about places to go. This may have been because of the occupancy but it was a bit annoying to have to wait so long in line in check in and check out. The pool was very small. we went because of the deal but being in East Jerusalem was not great for us---you could hear the call to prayer several times a day and we felt a bit unsafe walking the streets at night.

The pool is not so big but good for children. We also liked rhe children club. Dinner is ok , not to much but the service is good
