Been there with my GF for 2 nights.
The location is good, next to a tram station.
The food was fine, there is a nice variety.
The room is big and the shower was great (hot water and strong flow).
If you want to arrive for a short stay in Jerusalem - this hotel will be fantastic for you.

Sorry, bit of a late review as we stayed in early June. Was a very pleasant stay. Room was a nice size with a pretty porch and clean and comfortable. Food was excellent and plentiful. Light dishes served in the lounge were also tasty and very reasonably priced.

We booked two rooms and actually made an error on one of the bookings that could have cost us, but the management of the hotel straightened everything out and took care of us properly. We are VERY APPRECIATIVE of that.

The only minor thing we saw that needed improvement was communication between staff and front desk. This was evident with the lack of clarity of how to order/pay for Sabbath meals (Maitre de billed us and insisted I take the receipt on the Sabbath which I had to refuse) and even checkout for the observant (Desk told us we can check out later and maintenance man told us we had to leave earlier). It was again graciously taken care of by staff. Not meant as criticism only as an area for improvement.

There were several large weekend events at the hotel, but this did not interfere with the good treatment of single guests. With very fair pricing, great and plentiful food and good service, it is not hard to see why this hotel is so popular. As they say, go where the natives go and this is one of the more popular hotels with the locals.

Room Tip: Don't pay for meals or at the bar in cash. If you bill to your room and are a tourist the 17% included VAT will be removed

We stayed for 2 nights. Close to the Damascus Gate of Old City (8 minutes walk). On the 8th floor, it was a quiet room. Breakfast was satisfactory. The A/c worked well. Rooms are spacious but the bathrooms need renovation. It was a bit old and run down. The dinner menu is very limited especially if you are a vegetarian (not the case in Israel in general). For us, it was imp. to have the Old City at a walking distance. In fact, it is a 15 min walk to Mamilla Mall and Hotel. We had dinner on the Mamilla rooftop - highly recommended. However, if you are ok to cab around, there are many other good hotels at a distance from the Old City.

Room Tip: Good to be on a higher floor. You may get a balcony with a view of the city. 8th floor was quiet.

Having stayed the previous week at another Leonardo in Tel Aviv, i was not too looking forward to this short stay of 2 nights. However I was pleasantly surprised. The lobby was large, bright and buzzing. Reception however did have very long queues (typical Israel!). The rooms were good sized, with nice bathrooms, all very clean. Staff were friendly. One difficult thing, was finding taxis for some reason and the few that are available outside of the hotel do not tend to belong to a reputable company and rip you off. Location could have been better, being very near the border of East Jerusalem but still not too far from Western Wall etc, a short taxi ride away. All in all, I would return for somewhere to sleep, but not to holiday and relax.
