Description: This is a fairly new restaurant which offers very good brasserie type Kosher food (it is for meat products only- there is no dairy available) but has a Middel eastern touch. The most extraordinary thing about it is the location: it is on the 3rd floor of a new and also reconstructed shopping street, right outside the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem. because of the restaurant's placement, it has a view to die for:being on a roof, you feel you can simply reach out and touch the city walls to your left and the rest of Jerusalem facing south, is to your right. It seems like you're in a movie. The service was good, even though it was very crowdedd, and the food, also very good, though the restaurant is too new yet to say how it will develop. In any case, it is certainly worth a visit, which is unforgettable .

“View and atmosphere are breathtaking”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 12, 2012

The food was fine, not sensational, but certainly pleasant. Portions are large. But the view from the terrace has to be one of the best in the world. On a pleasant evening, go and take in the walls of the old city of Jerusalem, warmly illuminated. It's simply magical.

“Top restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 23, 2012

Excellent food, excellent old city view, very kind stuff. Recommended. Booking before so you can choose the best table, closing to the window view or at the terrace if the weather is good.

“Facing the Jaffa Gate”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 28, 2011

Kedma boasts a nicely appointed interior, but the real attraction is the building itself, a venerable 110 year old number. The restaurant's windows and wide balcony offer amazing views of Mamilla Cardo, the Old City's walls, the Jaffa Gate and the Abbey of the Dormition.
Recommended : entrecote steak , fish and chips.
Not recommended: chicken on couscous (so-so), pappardelli pasta bolognese ( no perfecto), roasted chicken breast (too dry) . why? because there are nothing special.
2 adults plus 3 children paid 500 NIS plus 50 shekels tips.
But it was nice to see a chinese couple, just married, having a wedding dinner for two in Kedma restaurant

“Location/view, service, food - in that order”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 17, 2011

This restaurant - overlooking the walls of the old city of Jerusalem - is worth going to for the location alone. The food is very good, though not particularly original, but the view is spectacular. The service is professional - polite, fast, helpful. Go in the early evening and watch night fall on the city - breathtaking. Afterward (or before) stroll around Mamila - one of the best shopping experiences in Jerusalem.
