There are options for indoor or outdoor dining. The menu features local Mediterranean cuisine which is by far the most delicious in Jerusalem. The bar offerings are vast and the fresh squeezed juices are.The service is superb as the restaurant is owner operated. It is convenient for visitors to the Old City, it also opens late at night.

Walking through the Old City, we discovered this cafe - restaurant and sat for a coffee: we had an excellent traditionnal coffee and other drinks served by very friendly waiters. The place is a mixture of historical consructions (including a Roman milestone in the terrasse) and modern facilities, arranged with good taste.

We enjoyed a pleasant atmosphere; as an anecdote, there was an arab style tango playing as background music: as we are from Uruguay, we danced the tango among the tables; and as we asked for, the waiter putted an argentine tango and we danced again.

A great moment. A place we recommend.

Versavee exceeded my expectations. Nestled away from the bustle of Jaffa Gate Plaza, Versavee provided the perfect ambiance for middle eastern cuisine. We went as a group of eight students for my birthday and they had no trouble accommodating us. Sit out side. The tables might be slanted and a little uneven, but it only adds to the charm of the alleyway. We don't drink alcohol, but the lemonade with mint was delicious, as was their hot chocolate. Most of us got something different and everybody was impressed with their meal. The portion size was good, and all in all, atmosphere included, it was reasonably priced. We'll be here for a few more months and we are already scheduling in how many time we can reasonably go back to Versavee before returning to America.

My meal was probably one of the best I've had in a restaurant in the Middle East. The lamb chops were highly delectable and the accompaniments were superb. Sitting next to a pillar with Latin writing on it brought the true perspective of just how magnificent this city is. The owner is a great guy and I look forward to future meals.

We found Versavee by chance as it is tucked away down a passageway very close to the Jaffa Gate and liked it so much we went back three times in the two days we were in Jerusalem. The service was great and the food was very tasty.. If you like wine, the proprietor only has house wine, but the one we had (which he recommended) was very good and reasonably priced. All in all a great place to stop and rest a while.
