I had heard about this restaurant some time ago and was delighted to finally eat there! The food was good, the service pleasant, but not as good as I was expecting. Unlike many restaurants the menu on the website was identical to the menu in the restaurant. We were pleased that they expanded a dish for two to full servings for three. The head chef, Ezra Kedem, was not there that Sunday night - perhaps the experience might have been more memorable if he had been there. As it was, it is unlikely we will return. By the way, the gate to enter is locked. You have to press a button to be buzzed in.

Hugely disappointing food experience even without considering the over priced menu. The food was simply not tasty, not well cooked, simply bad.

My wife and I had dinner on a Thursday evening. We should have known that something was up when only two other tables were occupied. The atmosphere is reasonable. It's a nice space in a beautiful old building. The menu was difficult. We've never had such a hard time piecing together a good meal. We just kept staring at the menu trying to find some decent combinations. In the end we had to order a salad off of the menu. The food was all passable, but just barely. Nothing at all special. The service tried hard, but was far too inexperienced for a restaurant with aspirations like this one. Three dishes with a bottle of wine ran around NIS 650. That's what we pay for absolutely outstanding meals in Tel Aviv. Oh well. We wrote it off as being what makes trying new places interesting...

Finding the restaurant amidst the feral cat population in the back alleys around Agrippas was part of the adventure of
discovering Arcadia. And according to some, it's reputedly the best restaurant in Jerusalem. We liked it, BUT we had some serious reservations. Arcadia is the spooky brain child of Ezra Kedem, who cracks a strong whip with his staff on frequent occasions. Yes, squirm, he hauls them over the coals consistently as if to impress. We weren't. He was waiting at the door of the theatre that is his precious boîte and although the food was good, leaving Ezra to pick your food or wine may not bring a smile to your face when you see the bill. $20 for a glass of mediocre wine? Unconscionable. His dessert of caramelized quince is outstanding but woe betide the poor wait person who doesn't meet Ezra's approval, you may receive instead, their head on a stick! We won't be back and cannot recommend it unless money is no object and don't mind experiencing labor abuse.
