Wow! Amazingly delicious food matched with awesome service and fair prices. A really good atmosphere and none of that kosher rubbish. Its really hard to match this place anywhere else in Israel and it even tops most Tel Aviv establishments.

“For Israel-pretty poor, but overall excellent”
Reviewed April 6, 2014

The best is the building the restaurant is located in- gorgeous ancient Bezalel academy building! Food is over-priced for Israel (in the sense of value for money), portions are relatively small. It seems to be the trend in Israel, fashionably cool places serve smaller portions.
All food was fresh. We brought our own wine (yes, in Israel you can do it), they charge 35 shekel per bottle for opening it/glasses.
Wouldn't recommend as you can find better. Also couldn't book Machneyehuda and they recommended Mona. Service was good, though were served by 4 different waiters during the evening. I had a birthday on that day and the waiters were aware of this and yet, no little candle or even cure sauce inscription "happy birthday" on my plate- apparently they don't do it in Israel...disappointing.
In Europe such restaurant would have been more expensive, but it's still Israel, where fresh produce is much cheaper. So, please start making larger portions and become truly Israeli, Mona!

“Very cool little place”

A unique menu with something for everyone in our group. Yummy yellowtail tartar. My liver with mashed potatoes full of flavor. Also ate the liver pate - would definitely go back if I didn't live thousands of miles away.

“Yum”

Cool place in the first Bezalel Art and Design Academy. Delicious and farm fresh. Great Israeli wines -- they do exist, I had no idea.
Great crowd, nice space, lovely staff. Outdoor area. Go here!

“Our favorite restaurant in Jerusalem ”
Reviewed April 3, 2014 via mobile

When my wife and I wants to celebrate a special occasion, we go there.
We really like the food, service and atmosphere.
We usually sit at the bar since the bar tenders are very friendly and fun people to get service from. They always give you chasers and small delights on the house.
The selection of wines is good, the food is the best... Absolutely fantastic.
My personal favorite dishes are the chicken liver on mashed potatoes and sweet onion, and the roasted chicken... Amazing. Don't miss that place!
