Ima is a Jerusalem favorite. Located not far from the "shuk" and overlooking Sachar park, it is spacious and has been renovated relatively recently. The inside rooms have traditional stone walls and it is elegant and well lighted. The food is Middle Eastern, with such staples as "Kubeh", tehina, various eggplant dishes and entrees that range from Kubeh soup to various stews. The food is prepared with care and the portions are acceptable (although not generous). It can become pricey, as the entrees are usually in the range of 70-100 NIS ($20-$30). Nevertheless this place is worth a visit.
