Ima's (Mother's in Hebrew) offers up consistently good quality traditional Jewish Middle Eastern cooking served in a Jerusalem atmosphere. Thick stone walls, attractive arches, plenty of light, but not too much space, mark this Jerusalem landmark restaurant. You'll find plenty of locals here, drawn by nostalgia for their mother's kubbeh or spicy meatballs. Everything comes absolutely fresh from the grill to the table, delivered by waitstaff who look like they could be the sons and daughters of the owners. Order up a bottle of Israel's best Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon, top off your meal with a glass of sweet Moroccan mint tea or a Turkish coffee and you've experienced a lovely Jerusalem evening.

It was much better at home! Except for a great wine "Meron", good breat and a nice atmosphere better is to go elsewhere. Disappointed.

Coming from Sao Paulo, I'm used to eat at good restaurants and, so far, my gastronomical experience in the holy land has been terrible. Went to Ima last night and ordered the rice with veggies and spring chiken. It had a strange consistence and it was absolutely tasteless. My wife ordered the fish balls on the tomato sauce, uneatable. The staff and wine were really nice to us though. But my advice is: save your money and play safe. Order a schnitzel or stick with the falafels and schwarmas. Shalom.

This restaurant was recommended to us by the owner of Allenby #2 B&B. We were not dissapponted. Impeccable atmosphere and service. Great menu of Israeli food in an elegant "cellar" type atmosphere. Very good Israeli wines.

A truly wonderful 'home-cooked' meal including appetizers, soup and barbecued meats served family style accompanied by a fairly priced wine menu. Went to Ima with a large group of 17 people to experience absolutely exceptional service. The usual experience with such a large group is service and food that disappoints, but not at this restaurant. Everyones food came out hot and in a timely manner and was extremely tasty with only the most professional service.
