“Terrible place”
Reviewed November 4, 2013

The place is located on one of the main routes in the market which is its ONLY advantage.
Don't be mislead by the kindness of the owners at the entrance, it will soon change and you will get a rude and arrogant treatment. The owners apparently follow the same pattern - they tell the customer they do not have a printed menu, and finally charge you twice or three times more than expected. They even charge you 10nis for the black coffee at the end of the meal, which is always given for free in such places to show respect to the guest. The shawarma is terrible, and the salads are limited. Beware!

“Don't go there”
Reviewed August 3, 2013

Very very expensive food ( meat overcooked) in this category, we paid 550 shekels for a food we paid 200 shekels the day before at Lina restaurant ( very closed). Yes the room is nice with lovely stones ( old oil cave) but if you don't want to pay only for the atmosphere get out !! The man who welcomed us was unpleasant by the way ... so we don't let a tip !

“Rip off after Nice welcome”
Reviewed July 16, 2013

Arrived at the restaurant by chance after a very nice and friendly welcome.
Order schawarma and humus and drinks. The schawarma was dyr and old and had been standing without heat for a while in the sun. After asking for the bill, he asked a higher price than written no the menu no the wall. 211 shekel . In that price you get doble the amount of food if You would go to any restaurant in the pedestrian street in the center of Jerusalem .

“Great find...”
Reviewed May 27, 2013

This was a great find. Having fought or way out of the bustling Church of the Holy Sepulchre we walked up into the myriad alleys of the Souk, looking for lunch. We saw Friends and fell in! We asked for just some salad and pitta. An array of tapas sized salads, falafel, pickles etc arrived with speed. We happily stuffed it into warm, fresh pittas. We tried very hard to eat the lot but were defeated! The young man who served us was charming and we were very glad to find Friends. Hope we manage to find it again!
