today we've been to Jerusalem, and following an advice we lunched at focaccia bar.the place was very bussy, and we had to wait for a table which was squeezed between more squeezed tables ,which led to an unwellcomed intmemicy and discomfort.service was ok considering, and the food, although not special came with such big portions for a very reasonable price that peole think highly of this place.not me.when l dine out l have some basic requirements that this place faills.better food and value then a gas station diner, more uncomfortable than a falaffel place in the market.

This was the best place open on a Friday evening (Shabbat) when all of Ben Yehuda becomes a ghost town. Book ahead if you're planning for a Friday dinner otherwise, be ready for a 15-20 minute wait depending on the size of your group. The place was packed when we were there.

The calamari starter is really good - fresh, tender, and cooked to perfection. Big portions so if you're not that hungry, consider sharing a meal between 2 people.

We discovered Focaccia on a visit to Jerusalem two years ago and enjoyed it very much. On our recent trip we returned and it was still as good as our first time. We liked it so much, we returned for a second visit during our recent stay. Set in an older stone building, the main dining area has a retractable roof which allows for both an indoor and outdoor experience depending upon the weather. They do squeeze lots of tables in this area and when busy, it's quite congested. The service on each visit was consistently good and friendly. The food ranges from large salads to pizzas and sandwiches, burgers and of course delicious focaccia breads. The price was very reasonable.

Some of the food was good (pizza, focaccia), some was just ok (salads) and some was not so good (soup).
Same for service (but we did get refunds for what we didn't like...).
