“Amazing First Class Hotel!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 6, 2011

I cannot say enough great things about this hotel! The location was perfect, the rooms are modern and chic, the bed was very comfortable along with the down pillow and heavy cotton sheets. The hotel amenities were L'Occitane. Full breakfast was included which was delicious and of high quality.

The hotel restaurant on the top floor has gorgeous views of Jerusalem and the food and wine was incredible! We ate there 3 times, once for lunch and twice for dinner.

The staff were always so helpful and friendly. Our flight out of Tel Aviv was at 12:00am, so we asked if we could get a late checkout. They offered to let us checkout at 2:00pm (at no charge), but also offered us an even later checkout at 8:00pm for 1/2 the cost of a full night. We went along with the 1/2 cost for the 8:00pm checkout and also a VIP Checkout at the airport that the hotel provided for an additional cost. It was expensive, but when we arrived at the airport, we were whisked to a private room (fruit, cheese and beverages provided) with a flat screen TV, sofa, table and internet access. Our luggage was taken care of. All we did was wait till it was time to board. When the plane was ready for boarding, they took us in a private van to the planes' entrance where we boarded and not ever having to wait at the airport waiting area. Actually, we never even saw the waiting area. No stress what so ever!

This is a first class establishment and provide nothing but the best!
My next visit to Jerusalem will definitely be at the Mamilla Hotel.

Thank you for making our stay in Jerusalem a memorable one!

elegant hotel, excellent restaurant tho expensive for what you get. Spottlessly clean, very attentive staff but why are the mattresses so low to the ground!! I had great difficulty getting out of bed. Next to the rodeo drive {mamilla street] of tel aviv. Terriffic Israeli breakfast. I would definately stay here again.

Truly one of a kind facility. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and unique. Location is perfect. Hotel is a absolute blend of the old and the latest. I love this hotel. Unfortunately, the roof top restaurant, while affording spectacular views, employs an unattentive and green staff--one better off at McDonalds. If this hotel expects to cater to the world traveler and rank among the best of the best, they need to train the staff.

In general we had a very good time in Jerusalem and the facilities of the Mamilla hotel were extraordinary.

However, we believe (the 15+ members of our group) that the service provided did not meet the levels expected by us. Not only was it sometimes disorganized and unhelpful, but sometimes even nonexistent.

We have been to numerous holiday programs in resorts throughout Israel and other countries and we have never encountered a more repetitive and boring menu (sorry for the word) than at the Mamilla Hotel.

The first two days of the holidays the food was good, but for the rest of our stay it became a torment knowing that we would eat exactly the same thing over and over for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Also, the service at the meals was very disappointing. Staff members (including mangers) were just standing mingling with other staff members during our meals. It reached the point that we had to stack our dirty plates in stacks of about half a foot high in order for them to notice that the table needed to be cleared.

In general, they REALLY have to work on their service. Would recommend staying at another hotel and just going to one of Mammilla’s restaurants or the bar.

This hotel will not be to everyone's liking. To begin with, it is strictly Kosher, so if you are there on a weekend, please be aware this will change from a luxury hotel to a place where you cannot get a cup of cappuccino, your room service will be served on plastic plates, your wine in plastic glasses. When you dine on the gorgeous rooftop, it will be Kosher. For some this is heaven on earth, for others it will be something else. In addition it has what has to be the worst mini-bar I've ever seen in a luxury hotel. There is no wine, no liquor, only beer, but not always, because it is often not stocked.
The service, however, is kind, attentive and highly accommodating.
We booked a junior suite and had to upgrade to the full suite. The junior suite is cramped and felt like a tomb, to use my husband's words. The full suite is humungous and gorgeous in every way.
The bathroom has a glass wall that disconcertingly puts the tub, etc in full view of the bedroom. However, there is a button you push and voila the glass wall turns frosty. Very stylish and nice.
The location is superb, far better than any other hotel in Jerusalem.
The amenities are divine, every aspect of the bathroom is luxurious to the max. What a tub. What a shower. All stunning and relaxing.
The view from our window was the walls of the old city and a shopping mall, but a beautifully old alley of a shopping mall with Jerusalem stone and twinkling blue lights. Awesome.
I liked best the room itself, the common areas, the rooftop. I liked least the minibar.
You will, however, pay the highest prices imaginable.

If you like "W" you will LOVE Mamilla so stop right now and BOOK! When you walk into Mamilla you are transported to another world! The atmosphere and the feel just "put you in another place." The lobby is GOURGEOUS! The wine bar is AWESOME idea! The MIRROR bar and Cigar Bar SO CHIC!! The ROOFTOP restaurant has THE BEST VIEW in Jerusalem. The BREAKFAST is AMAZING! The Mamilla Suite is one of the most incredible rooms I've ever stayed in - and everyone that stayed in it was in heaven!!! I was there with a group in December and the service was SPECTACULAR and NOONE complained! In general I find the people at Mamilla can never do enough for you and they bend over backwards to be nice and to be helpful - it's like being with family! I give the service at Mamilla a 12! There is no other hotel like it in Israel! And the LOCATION can't be beat! This hotel is the closest to Jaffa gate and the new Mamilla Mall and it is the closest to Ben Yehuda Street! LOCATION IS A 12 as well!
