The food is well presented in a buffet style. You pay by weight, so, if your eyes are bugger than your stomach, the bill will serve you right. Eat sensibly and the price is sensible.

The selection changes daily, some popular dishes are mainstays. I was spoiled for choice. I ate there twice with a different selection each day, and could easily have gone back several days in a row without getting bored.

Good, honest food, that's the basis of the place. There are no frills, it's a good grade of cafeteria, and that suits it well. I shall go back next time I am in Jerusalem

I wonder if the light railway outside the front door will ever be finished?

Village Green is a kosher vegetarian restaurant with healthy food, very clean and ''european style''. They have delicious salats and soups, lasagne, cakes, coffee, soups. It's self service and very expensive.

We first ate there in 1998 when they were on Ben Yehuda Street. There were 5 of us and most were meat eaters but all found that the food was tasty and satisfying and we went back several times during the 5 weeks we were in Israel and visiting Jerusalem again. In 2002 we again ate there and again in 2004 and again in 2007 !!!!!! We are again going to eat there this September. We always look forward to eating there. We always enjoy the soup and bread for something light. It has 2 levels so you can get your food and take it downstairs.......we usually do. We do miss the other location on Ben Yehudda Street because there are more things going on and shops to go into. We love it and highly recommend it. More relaxed than anything fancy would be.

Excellent food, large variety! Every dish was delicious. There even were vegan pies. The owners were very helpful: We had to go to Tel Aviv so they called the taxi-station... We will come back!
