“Old City Delight”
Reviewed August 22, 2013

Big restaurant with outdoor seating, and even though it was packed, we thought service would be slow - no way. Service was excellent, and staff were very friendly and helpful. For 2 people we were full from just some cold appetizers and hot appetizers...we didn't even need a main meal (but prices were not cheap considering its location!). Location easy to find, just inside Jaffa Gate, left turn before the hussle and bussle of the market. Fans cooled the outdoors but we opted to sit in the cooler indoors.

“Excellent food within the old city walls”
Reviewed August 11, 2013

We went here the first night in Jerusalem and it was a delight. We ate in a beautiful flower filled courtyard on a balmy night. The food was Mediterranean style and we started with a great mezze. We almost could not eat the rest, it was so bountiful. The service was great and the atmosphere added to the great evening. It is right near the Jaffa gate, so close to the action of Mamilla mall and the entry to the ancient cobblestone streets. I would have gone here a second time, but there are so many great restaurants to try in Israel! It was a great way to start our trip. The prices were excellent too.,

“Great mezze at historic wall”
Reviewed August 3, 2013 via mobile

When you chose a restaurant with this fantastic location there is a risk that it is a tourist trap - it is even mentioned with a picture on the city map (which is normally a bad sign for price/quality). This place was the exception. Fantastic and precise service. Very nice staff and great authentic food. Go there and eat in a historic atmosphere.

“A decent experience in the Old City”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

This restaurant does have a great location, very close to the Jaffa Gate and the Tower of David Museum. The food is good -- we had the buffet at lunch arriving early at around 11:30 and were the first ones there. They opened the buffet for us which was reasonably priced at around $20. The buffet included salad varieties, hummos, and choices of meat, chicken shwarma and fish. The pita was good and plentiful and we were filled quickly. The garden out back that includes one wall that is the city wall is charming and, with the fans running, was pleasant.
