We moved into the Legacy for one night after moving out of another hotel that was substandard and more expensive.
The Legacy Hotel is the refurbished WYMC in East Jerusalem and it is beautiful. The rooms are contemporary and on the smallish side, but they are immaculately clean with new beds and furniture, laminate wooden flooring and large windows. The room we had had a very large balcony with a table and 4 chairs. There is a flat-screened TV as well as free wireless internet.
The service of both receptionists and waiters was impeccable. The sitting area at the entrance was aesthetic and the garden was a very good place to sit.
We didn't go to the swimming pool or to the gym, but they are there.
The food is excellent and substantial. The 5th floor of the hotel is the restaurant with a great view over the city. The food is a combination of Middle Eastern and international (try the mezze - it's tremendous). Breakfast is very good. I was disappointed they didn't have water melon and more fresh fruit, but apart from that there was everything from smoked salmon, fine cheeses to cereals. A highlight was freshly-squeezed orange.
We paid $150 for the room ($10 less than the rundown hotel we moved out of after only one night).
We live in Nazareth, so definitely will go there again. It is a relatively short walk to the Damascus Gate at the Old City. Takes longer to walk to west Jerusalem.
We've stayed in several hotels. For the price, this is very good value.
