Ate at Darna tonight. Service very sweet and helpful. The appetizer suggested--Cornish hen in pastry with cinnamon--was one of the best tasting things I have ever eaten. Lamb dish and couscous were excellent. Very relaxing atmosphere.

This restaurant is touted as one of the best in Jerusalem, particularly because of its North African cuisine and service-style. First of all, it is WAY OVER PRICED. The appetizer (small assorted dishes) which was recommended by the server was poor -- one of the dishes was a potato salad like anyone can buy in a U.S. supermarket. The lamb tagine had very little meat and too many bones. The chicken couscous was barely acceptable. The wine list is long, expensive and confusing. When my husband wondered aloud about wines by the glass, the server didn't even point out that they were available. About the only good thing going for this place is that they don't make you eat with your fingers, like other North African restaurants in which we've eaten in the US.

Although this good be a nice, albeit expensive, dinner option for tourists who really want more of a show than a good dinner, I don't think this place warrants the prices. The food is certainly good, although the portions are a bit on the smaller side, but they are nothing that cant be held elsewhere in Israel in a more comfortable place and for less.

A few month ago we organized a party before a wedding.
No words to describe the excellent service, patience and great athmosphere provided by the owner (Mr Ilan Siboni) and his team.
What an experience,
