“The best hotel in Jerusalem--especially for young families”
Reviewed April 11, 2010

We have stayed in many hotels in Jerusalem, from the 5* King David to the once-charming YMCA. We just returned from two nights at the Harmony, with our 3- 5-year olds, and it's obvious why this is rated number one--and why we wholeheartedly agree. This hotel is in a new, purpose-built building, that is bright, elegant, and yet relaxed. It's just a short (and not hilly!) walk to the Jaffa Gate; in the other direction there are dozens of cafes and shops. The staff are superb: helpful, friendly, and keen to help make the most of our visit. Our kids were greeted by name, were welcome to enjoy snacks at the daily "happy hour" in the Lobby, and quickly assumed that this hotel was MADE for them. At the same time this is a elegant place and the staff do what they can to make everyone comfortable. They also offer free indoor parking and reliable wireless. We won't consider staying anywhere else in Jerusalem.

All the review about this hotel are true. A member of the party was sick and I called to see if we get get one of the 2 rooms early. We ended not going early and when we checked in they said they had both rooms cleaned early for us. Great location, my only issue was that it can be a bit noisy outside, for light sleepers like me.

I will go back and you should check out this great place

My daughter and I stayed at the Harmony right before Passover. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms were small by American standards but more than adequate and fashionably decorated. Breakfast was delicious and gave us the opportunity to sample different dishes. Every one of the staff went out of their way to accomodate us. But special thanks to the chef! Our early morning shuttle had called and was delayed. We did not know where they would pick us up and were waiting by the front door -- he came out onto the patio overlooking the street and suggested we go to the back door. He even made sure the door was opened for us so we could wait inside.
I know when we go back this is where we will stay!

Ask for the "quiet side" and one of the larger rooms when you book! There is a distinct difference, which we learned about from other members of our tour group. Our room (#306) was, fortunately, a quiet room. Those on the other side of the hotel complained about very loud music/noise well into the night for every night of our 5 night stay. Room #306 was small, but larger than many, and it was easy to organize ourselves for our stay. We loved the location - an easy walk to the Old City, good shopping, great restaurants, etc. Also "plusses" were the helpful staff, the free internet and wifi, and the terrific happy hour. The included breakfasts were large but not exceptional. We were on a group tour so can't comment regarding the value.

Nice little boutique hotel is the best part of Jerusalem. Breakfast wasn't much. Hotel had its own nice touch, very classy. Would recommend. Cant beat the location and the price. Well worth the money!!

We just returned from our trip to Israel. We stayed at the Harmony Hotel in Jerusalem for 5 nights. It is a clean, minimalist hotel. Perfect for the budget conscious. The breakfast had a great variety; I just didn't like the fruit juices. Plenty of food to choose from and the happy hour from 5-7 was an added touch. Internet is free and almost always available. The staff was wonderful; particularly Hadar and the manager, Ayala.
They were patient and answered all our questions and provided great recommendations as well. The location is perfect; after a day of touring it's nice to know that you can walk to a restaurant. Their complementary umbrellas came in handy as well.
