“Excellent boutique hotel -- almost 5 stars...”
Reviewed September 4, 2012

My husband found this hotel on tripadvisor, and due to all the great reviews, decided to book it for us during our quick 2 day trip to Jerusalem. We were not disappointed! We got there before check-in time, and the front desk staff was nice enough to hold our bags for us as we left for the day. When we finally returned we were quickly checked-in without any hassle. The overall hotel/lobby/dining area and rooms have a boutique feel and modern decor. Within walking distance to the Old City as well as many shops and restaurants, it was the perfect location! Breakfast buffet was included in our rate and was good. I would've given this hotel a 5 stars due to the excellent staff and location; however, our room was not super clean (I did find hair -- not mine! -- in our bed) so for this, I have to rate it 4 since the price was high enough to expect a clean room. Would I come back, absolutely! I highly recommend.

We were a family of three with our 13-year-old son staying in this hotel for 2 nights, and it was a wonderful place to stay. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the room was large enough and very clean, and the breakfast was excellent even by the very high Israeli standards, as far as breakfasts go. They also had a late afternoon "happy hour", which in reality was much more than the typical namesake for that, as they served all sorts of fruits and veggies, mini sandwiches, a variety of cheeses and crackers, cakes, cookies, coffee, tea, soft drinks and wine, all on their beautiful veranda. Entering the hotel, one would be hard pressed to guess on how wonderful the accommodations truly are, and the best part for me was the fact that this hotel is utterly unpretentious and unassuming, but actually quite high class. Loved staying there and would do it again in a heart beat, which reminds me not to be remiss and mention that the location of this hotel could hardly be any better, as it is close to the Old City, smack in the heart of Jerusalem, yet managing to be quiet enough.

The Harmony Hotel is located just outside the old city walls. It is 10 minute walk to the Jaffe Gate. It is two blocks from Ben Jehuda street with resturants, shopping and banks. The rooms were modern and very clean. The breakfast buffet was very good.

Internet is really high speed and free. Parking lot is available and complimentary also. Breakfast is fine and included. Nothing to criticize. The stuff is helpful and friendly. The only thing is that the room are very small, but you cannot expect large rooms in the Jerusalem's center

The Harmony is excellently located within walking distance of The Old City, Zion Square and Jerusalem shopping and nightlife. Rooms are small with inadequate drawer storage, but otherwise beautifully appointed and comfortable. Staff very friendly and responsive. Traditional Israeli breakfast good. Late afternoon "happy hour" on outdoor terrace is a treat.

We were recommended to this hotel by good friends of ours and what an excellent recomendation it was. A very nice bedroom, great location, a good breakfast and free car parking, happy hour and wi-fi - what more could one want?

The hotel is right is the heart of the city, within walking distance of the old city. We found it a little hard to find by car using a GPS because we missed the hint on the hotel website to set GPS for Shamai Street. A lovely warm welcome on arrival, despite the fact that it was very late. The room was well equipped and clean and quiet. At breakfast there was plenty of choice and the food was of very good quality - it's not the extensive selection that one finds at some larger Israeli hotels, but was an excellent range and something for everyone.

The warmth of the staff and management shines through and at checkout they were disappointed that we hadn't arrived in time for happy hour the previous day. So, as we were leaving our car at the hotel during the day, they offered us to join happy hour that day before we left Jerusalem. We expected the European happy hour, half price drinks etc. But no, this was an Israeli happy hour - free wine, juices, coffee, and some snacks - and was a lovely touch and was very much appreciated after a long hot day sightseeing.

This really was an excellent experience and we look forward to returning on our next visit to Jerusalem.
