Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Staff so friendly, room had lots of facilities including tea and coffee making facilities. Loved the breakfast the best in Israel. Great value this hotel is centrally located behind Ben Yehuda street and only a short walk to the old city. Would definately stay here again so impressed would look at other hotels in the Atlas group.

Room Tip: There is no pool or fitness centre at this hotel. Enjoyed view from Higher floor

Great location, in the heart of entertainment area, within walking distance of old city, mahane yehuda market. Harmonious and pleasant design but the building works were cheaply done which downgrades the bathrooms a bit. The staff was very friendly. . I have stayed in the Mamila hotel last time, paid a fortune, obviously the room was better furnished and of higher end but the service and the pleasant feeling are not comparable. We had a peasant stay and I'll definitely come back

I was in a real bind to find a hotel quickly in Jerusalem, so while sitting in Zion Square, I looked for the closest hotel. Fortunately for me, that was Harmony Hotel, a nice place tucked away one block from Ben Yehuda St and a short walk from the old city's Jaffa Gate. The room was huge and very clean as they gave me a free upgrade. Free Happy Hour and Breakfast was also a nice touch. Great proximity to everything. I loved it.

We stayed at the Harmony for six nights during our two week Israel vaction. There is no question that for the price, this property is an excellant choice. As stated in all of the reviews, it is in an absolutely fabulous location: in between Ben Yehuda street and the Mamilla Mall on a charming pedestrian street with several small restaurants and artsy shops. The Mamilla Hotel and David Citadel are only two blocks away but cost 2-3 times more! The Harmony is a "boutique" hotel so it is small, there is no restaurant, bar, spa, etc. But for travelers like us who prefer the boutique to a 5 star large hotel, the Harmony fits the bill.

That being said, there was one aspect to our stay that I found disturbing and that affected my level of satisfaction with the Harmony: the room we were assigned. At the time of booking, the hotel indicated that it offered only one class of room at one price. (We initially booked at Bookings.com but then did all of our bookings with a fabulous booking agent, Chantal at Regent/Isram Travel recommended by Dougless Duckett on TA). After having been assigned an unbelievably small room at the Shalom and Relax, an Atlas Boutique Hotel in Tel Aviv, Chantal called ahead to be sure we would not have the same experience in Jerusalem. As we were staying for six nights we needed more than 11.3 square meters. She was assured that we would be assigned a better room. When we arrived we were assigned the smallest room in the hotel: our room did not have a tub, only a shower, a very small closet and nowhere to comfortably unpack. That would have been OK (I understand rooms are small and can make do) but this room was the exception. Almost all of the rooms-even the ones of the same small size had tubs and more storage space. I did not understand why we had been given such a poorly equipped room. We were informed by the mamagement that because the hotel was fully booked, the larger "standard" rooms had been booked to guests at a higher rate and that we could move to a larger room if we were willing to pay the higher rate. As booking a larger room was not an option when I booked months earlier( and an option I would have selected) I was taken aback. After contacting Chantal, I was told I could move to a larger room. By the way, this was the second time we were assigned very poor rooms at an Atlas hotel when larger rooms were clearly available at the same class. In both instances we were told that this occurred because the hotel was fully booked and it required the intervention of the travel agent to resolve the problem. What is the deal Atlas? I don't know if this was just an unlucky coincidence but I suggest travellers be very specific about room assignment. It was not so bad for a two night stay but was unpleasant for a six night stay.
That being said, the room, although small, was nicely decorated, in good condition and immaculately clean. We had no problems with either street or hotel noise. The staff (except for the room assignment which they couldn't do anything about)) was very nice and helpful, especially Esti and Jasmin.
The breakfast was fine and the cocktail hour on the terrace a great feature.
The ground floor entry area needed attention and cleaning. I don't know if that arera belongs to the hotel but the entry makes for a very poor first impression.
In sum, given the location, value and overall condition of the Harmony, I would stay here again. However, I would be very specific about room assignment and, if possible pay extra (it was only $30 US) for a larger room. And I don't really understand why it is rated #1.....it is good but not great......

Room Tip: Corner rooms are larger and brighter

We stayed five nights at the Harmony. Fabulous location next to Ben Yehuda Street (night life and shops), easy walking to old city. Great buffets breakfasts and happy hour on the patio. Staff was excellent. Rooms are quite comfortable size (much larger then Atlas' boutique hotel in Tel Aviv, the ArtPlus) and well appointed.

This is a hotel one would always want to returned to. The location could not be better being within 15 minutes walk to the old city. Very helpful and friendly reception on arrival. We were given a comfortable and quiet room, everything clean and crisp cotton bedding and very comfortable large bed. Breakfast probably superior to many higher graded hotels, the choice was awesome. Particularly appreciated by us was the Happy Hour (5 - 7) with complimentary drinks and delicious snaks. This hotel is highly recommended.

Much has been written about this hotel or else it would not be rated number 1. We stayed here for five days last week and we were certainly pleased with the stay. But, it was hardly a superb experience and there were aspects that were disturbing. First, the location is good since it is an easy walk to Jaffo Street and the Mahane Yehuda Market. If you learn to use the light rail, as we did, it will be easy to travel all the way to Mount Hertzl or get to the Old City with a minimum of walking. So, that is all good. But, if you have a car, there is literally only one way to drive to the hotel and it can be a daunting task. Also, the undergound parking is not for the faint of driving. We noticed an intense smell of human excrement in the lower halls of the hotel and in the alley way to Jaffo Street. We mentioned this to the deskclerk but she was less than interested. The rooms are small as is typical of an inner-city, European style hotel but there was room for the two of us. The bathroom was small but serviceable with clean fixtures and hot water aplenty. The morning breakfast was very good but the coffee could remove the finish from your shoes. The staff was very courteous and helpful-- and that makes up for a lot in a city like Jerusalem. I think we received good value for our Shekel but the hotel could use some finishing touches to make it sparkle. By the way, the lower shopping gallery is essentially devoid of goods or services. There was also constant noise into the night from the adjoining streets and alleys. Lots of yelling, screaming, and perhaps partying. If this happens to you, ask for a diferent room. I will recommend one restaurant for excellent, local cuisine--Rachmo. It is just down the street from the hotel and it is where the locals eat. You won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: Try to get a room that does not face on the back alley.
