“Abraham's Tent at Genesis Land”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 14, 2014

If visiting Israel, this is a fun place to visit, slow down and relax. The hospitality is fantastic. Either sit on the ground or in a chair. Remember you are visiting Abraham's tent. "Abraham" tells you about the area and makes you feel at home.

There are no words to describe the food. We enjoyed vegetables, wonderful hummus, fresh pita bread, date honey chicken (out of this world), meatballs and rice, dried fruit. You never run out of anything, staff continually brings food to your table. Everybody is nice, friendly and nobody leaves hungry. Stop by the gift store and bring home date honey and email for their recipe they will send back immediately.

The scenery is one of the most beautiful in the area. There are two benches that face out over the hilly terrain and looking at God's handiwork is amazing.

The camel rides are fun, but don't forget to get your camel license before leaving. They do provide a jeep ride if you do not or cannot ride the camel or walk down to the tent. If you are lucky enough to have a camel born while you are there; then you are truly blessed.

Bathrooms are very clean, nice and with showers.

We I return to Israel for another visit, Abraham's tent will definitely be a stop.

“Kitsch but cute”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2014 via mobile

We went with 3 kids (10,7,5) parents and grandparents. It is kitschy and the camel ride is short but truthfully why would you want to ride a camel for longer than that. The guide was jokey and funny, the view was lovely. It would be very hot in the summer and there isn't a lot of shade. It's fun but good to know what to expect. Overall we all liked it.

“Nice evening in beduin tent”

I cannot tell about attraction value, we spent a night there after a walking trip over desert.
We had very good dinner in styled environment. Food was very good, showers and bathrooms ok, very nice views from the camp.

“nice views, not what I expected”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 7, 2014

We were expecting a camel ride and tea in the desert. We rode the camels for 3 minutes to Abrahams tent, and there were only enough camels to ride in one direction, we had to walk back to the main enterence. We spent 3 minutes on camels, 10 minutes making pita, 10 minutes drinking tea, coffee and eating dry fruits, the 20 minutes hearing the story of abraham. My kids were a little too young to appreciate the show. The view was great and the concept is nice.

“Genesis Land - not the "real" thing”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 7, 2014

A bit too touristy for my taste and even the kids thought so. The camel "ride" was about 5 minutes long down the road a minute and then back. I had thought we would ride to the tent. The food was fine. We were in Abraham's tent as the sun was setting but couldn't see outside. I would have preferred to be at the firepit outside drinking tea with the guides and drivers then in a fake Bedouin tent listening to a fake Abraham (with an Australian accent no less) where we were unaware of the amazing landscape. The drive there was incredibly beautiful. Not worth the time.
