The Haifa University offers excellent views of Haifa and on a clear day, one can see into Lebinon. They also have the Reuben Hecht Museum on the premises. This wonderful museum has a vast history of Israel and the region. We really enjoyed it. Finally, they even had a Kosher MeDonald's in the University, which my Kosher family found to be a treat (there are only a few of them even in Israel).

They've got the highest place in the city. Depending on the visibility of the day they say you can even see Lebanese territory to the north. On the other hand they don't keep the windows cleaned.

Another stop on the lets waste time on the tour list of things to do. There are few universities worth visiting and this is not one of them.

Cannot comment on the university as an academic institution but can say that it's a great place for spectacular
Views of Haifa and the area. Go up the Eshkol Tower to the observatory and you can see all the way to Lebanon. Can also visit the amazing Hecht Museum on the premises

Haifa University is located at the top of Mount Carmel. It offers breathtaking views of the sea in two directions - North, all the way to the Northern tip of Israel (Rosh Hanikra), which is the border with Lebanon, and South-East.
When visibility is good, visitors can take some of the most beautiful photographs of Haifa from the top of the 30-floor building, which houses many of the offices of the University. No need to worry about access - it is open to the public. You also do not have to climb all these stairs - an elevator will take you to the 29th floor so you only have to climb one more floor for the amazing views.
While at the University, do stop for a few hours at the Museum. It offers one of the best collections of Israeli archeology and the second floor has many paintings of changing artists.
