We stayed at 1926 for six nights. The location is well connected by train (to Tel Aviv etc.), buses, and the Carmelit (to Hadar and the Carmel). The room was nicely designed with a cute balcony. Moshe made a special effort to provide a hard mattress for my back, and overall the service was extremely helpful. I'd definitely return!
Regarding food nearby: We were not impressed by the Sangeria breakfast. A much better option is the Turkish Burekas place across the road that has good food, fresh-squeezed juice, and a decent coffee machine.
