We stayed in Loui Hotel only for one night and have no complaints about our stay. The hotel is easy to find because there are good direction tips on their web site. The service is great, front desk clerks are friendly and helpful, provided with a map and explained how to get to the most interesting places in town.

The Loui hotel is in a good location, within easy reach of the central station and the German colony. The room was clean and comfortable, although the bed was a little short. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing us with a free city map, and information on visiting the main sights. A good breakfast (not included in the normal room rate) was served at a nearby cafe.
Overall the hotel was good value for money, particularly as it is one of very few budget options around!

The room was really great with a refrigerator, and kitchen supplies. Free cable TV included. It has cozy inner yard with seats and tables. They provide good breakfast in the nearby cafe for little extra charge.
Very nice and helpful owners.

Room Tip: They do provide room upgrades on low seasons

Overall, we were pleased with our visit to this hotel. The owner and his son are very friendly and accommodating. It is an honest, family run business. Other guests appeared to be satisfied with their stay as well.

We stayed in room #14. large room with 1 double and 2 single beds.. kitchen has small fridge and kettle no microwave/toaster.

pros: Good price.
Shower has excellent water pressure.
Our small dog was allowed to join us.
Free parking on street.

cons: no major cons.
neighborhood is a bit sketchy - yet centrally located.
room next to us was loud and obnoxious. perhaps the noise insulation is lacking as mentioned in other reviews.

Room Tip: perhaps because we brought a dog, we were given one of the more expensive rooms that are apart from...

We stayed at Loui M Apartments between 30 December 2012 and 7 January 2013. I liked the room as it had nice dining area with microwave, sink and kettle, the room decor was pretty, there was a TV, AC and hair dryer. There was a lovely patio in front of the one-storeyed building where our room was located and the premises were rather secluded and quiet. The location was convenient if you do not intend to go to the beach. 7 minutes walk to Bahai Gardens. 3 minutes walk to Hadar food market.
As for the cons room cleaning was a night-mare. Once the maid did the bed covering it with the bedcover leaving the sheet crumpled as it was when we left the room. She never bothered to clean the tile floor in the bathroom either. Clean towels came occasionally. I once asked at the reception for clothes hangers as there were none in the wardrobe and never got them. Neighbouring room had both clothes hangers and china cups and saucers which I also requested but got just a couple of glass mugs instead.
At the reception vouchers were given daily allowing to take breakfast with discount in the nearby cafe but one day the reception boy said we could go there without a voucher for the same price. So we did and paid 30 more ILS. He apologised later but I could not get his point in not providing us with them.
The air conditioner worked like a tractor unless a cork was stuck between its vibrating parts.
You could hear everything that was going on in the room next door as there was no noise insulation at all. Luckily the street noise was not heard due to location in an enclosed court-yard.
The most unpleasant experience was connected with payment issue. I was asked to pay a deposit for the first night stay and as I then extended the booking for three times guarantying it by my credit card every time I was made to pay for the passed nights as if I would cheat on them in the end and not pay in full upon checkout. This was the first hotel in my life with this kind of attitude to a traveller. I was given a bottle of vine as a compensation for all those inconveniences but the impression was irreparably spoilt. The room cost us 375 ILS per night which was more than enough to expect prompt service and decent room cleaning.

our stay in this hotel has been a great experience. it is very affordable for israeli standards, the location is close to downtown haifa, the german colony and the bahai gardens. the staff is friendly and able to help you out with any problem. espacially the cheap breakfast-voucher for the trendy nearby "loundry" is recommendable. every room has a balcony and although some are on the street front, the rooms are very quiet. however its a great hotel in beautiful haifa!

Confortable rooms, good bathroom, excelent staff. They are always ready to help you in anyway. The hotel doesn't have a parking but you can park you car in the street below, its a free parking lot area. The location is the only thing I could say its not perfect, if you have a car you are fine but it is nor near any of the places you will want to visit. There is good public transportation though.
