Good sushi. Decent portion. But in the expensive side. Road side along a busy road which makes during outside a bit inconvenient and bothersome for conversations. Nicely decorated interior. Friendly servers. The place is busy during 'happy hours' which may be an indicator of the quality of the place.

The food was tasty but very oily. I felled very bad afterwards because of this. In the past, about a year ago it was much better.

Okay, so we are a couple, and we went to their new branch in Moria street.
I think it meant to be like an express version of the main restaurant.

We were really disappointed to discover that this branch doesn't serve an Indian menu.
Basically it's some sushi dishes and some warm noodle and rice dishes.

We ordered 1 miso soup - it was okay but not wonderful, the main reason that i like to eat miso soup is the seaweed. it had lots of spring onions and hardly any seaweed and very little tofu.
i would prefer it would be richer and smaller in size.

The mains that we ordered was Pad-Thai with chicken and shrimps and another noodle dish with smoked duck and chicken.
There was an option for rice or egg noodles. we weren't even asked what we would prefer. It arrived with rice noodles.
There was a small mix up with the tables and my partner got his Pad-Thai 10 seconds after ordering. which means i was without my main or soup.
we said that it's not possible that it's ours but they insisted it is, and left it with us.
Then came the soup and then came the apology that we were correct and it was a mix-up... at that point i was eating the soup and waiting for my main which arrived very soon.
So we had 2 mains and a soup...very unorganized.

Now for the quality of the food... well... there was non. My dish was super greasy and very heavy. There was nothing fresh and lovely about it. I had to ask (3 times!) for chopped coriander, so i could add some freshness to it.
The Pad-Thai was okay, but the chicken tasted like it was boiled. .

The floor of the restaurant is half decked and half tiles. If you go, do yourself a favor and sit on the tiled floor. it felt like we were in a safari and elephants were walking among us... the deck was so noisy...

the service was mediocre and in Hebrew we say: it was "neighborhood", like very unprofessional.

If you want to eat and run, maybe it will suit you but not for a nice romantic evening...
I must add that its a new branch and i hope i could correct this review in time.

Minna Tomei is first of all - interesting. Working off a number of traditional east Asian menus, they put there own twist on each dish - some work splendidly, and others just "good." So, while the menu is hit-and-miss, my family and I have now tried about 15 different dishes and most are excellent, and those that are less so are still good. We especially liked the Indian options, because there are not a lot of Indian options in the north of Israel. Finally, the menu lacks vegetarian options, but you can order some of the meat/sea-food dishes with tofu instead.
