I love their place
It exists over 80 years
You should arrive on Tuesday nights
It's live show and many guests arrive sitting outside
very nice place to eat and drink in Haifa downtown

“a famous traditional food establishment in haifa”
Reviewed March 11, 2014

been there few times over the years. it is a pub - restaurant serving traditional east europian jewish family couisin. it has an old and not a fancy look, is relatively small (at noon time - reservation is essential!), andt it maintains a very good reputation of food specialties quality. family heartful service. ignor cholesterol and garlic aroma for one meal - and you will enjoy it.

“Good Place if you have no cholestrol problems!!”
Reviewed March 11, 2014

The atmosphere is original and the food is mainly Eastern European. The prices are reasonable and the service fast and friendly. On Friday afternoons they serve goulash but there is a waiting queue and you can have a beer while waiting to be seated. The soups are also quite filling.

“An Experience`”
Reviewed January 29, 2014

From the outside, the building on Jaffa (Yaffo) Road looks downright ugly. Once you get in, the experience begins. First of all the restaurant is set up from a few small eating spaces. The decoration can be described as "eclectic" but in reality is a collection of various posters, signs, antiques and news paper articles. The food is just excellent. A variety of meets, grilled and baked. The beer selection is fantastic. I recommend the Romanian Kebabs, Pastrama and Oso Bucho. Really fantastic! Service is great too, all waiters are smiling and willing to chat, recommend dishes and fulfill your needs. Definitely a must in Haifa!

“as good as i expected”
Reviewed January 18, 2014

when i tried to get a seat here at lunchtime the place was full so there wasn't a seat untaken. i came back at the afternoon and the atmosphere was nice (pre-evening and more pubish). i ordered the famous "kostiza" which was very nice. the music was good and i looked at what the people at the table next to me ordered - looked very tasty.
at the lower cuty it is indeed a recommended place.
