Really good sushi. If temperature is good sit outside. We had a table inside which was not very good - lacked space and comfort.

Situated by herods hotel. Pleasant area to sit outside in the evening and have a meal. For a family outing, prices are reasonable but the food is mediocre. The thai soup was sickly, far too much coconut milk and the spicy philippine noodles laced any subtlety.

We were in Eilat before Rosh a-shanah holidays, so there were not many people in the bar and we received attentive service.
May be not so big portions as usually we expect from this kind of place.
But tasty and interesting.

The giraffe is an excellent place to eat, it has great quality food, great service and a nice atmosphere.

That being said, I have no idea how the giraffe restaurant in Eilat got its title.

I visit the giraffe in herzliya and tel aviv very often, and it's nothing like the one in Eilat.

It's quite funny to compare, since we visited the giraffe in herzliya prior to our visit to the giraffe in Eilat and the difference is astonishing.

In Eilat the portions are very small, they contain a very poor amount of protein, it actually seems like they're trying to save money on it or something. The atmosphere wasn't so good, all the staff seemed to be in a great hurry and it made us feel like we are under some pressure. Like they just want us to finish ordering our food, eat it, and get out.

This is the complete opposite to the herzliya branch and I have no idea why it's getting such nice reviews.

Our appetizer - vegetable salad with peanut sauce- was good, although heavy on the sauce. The Afghan-inspired main dish was good for the first few bites, but very heavy overall and difficult to finish. The pad thai was not pad thai. Not even close.

The service was friendly, but it was difficult to get attention and all the servers seemed like they were in a hurry. We sat outside, and it's in a great location for people watching.

The food was good but not great. And it certainly isn't relaxing.
