Excellent hotel with beautiful garden and swimming-pool. Huge suite with everything available you can think of. The staff was incredibly friendly and extremely warm especially manager Shanit. The room was beautiful and the facilities were very well maintained. II liked the location and the grounds were pretty. Loved that it had parking and that it was so close to the promenade. Super comfortable bed as well. I enjoyed having two bathrooms. Having the minimarket in the hotel was very convenient. Spa was excellent! It was perfect for families with small children and we will definitely stay there again!

We have been coming to the Royal Garden for years and have always found it a wonderful place for the family. This year we left the room when the housekeeper came in and returned one hour later to find that valuables were stolen and the housekeeper had, strangely, gone home and been replaced by another!
We were immediately in contact with the hotel security and although they promised they would take care of it they did absolutely nothing. In fact it's very clear that they had no intention of confronting their staff, despite their guilt.
So if you decide to stay at this hotel be warned!!! The housekeeping is basically invited to take whatever they like...and will. Really too bad. We used to like the place.

we came during the succot festval so the hotel was very buisy.. However the room we reserved wascready on time.
The room was spacious well appointed and decorated tastefully
Asvthe bedroom is sepperated from the living room we had some privacy from the kids.
The main attraction is the wonderful swiming pool with water falls slides bubble tubs and even an artificual beach. We literaly had to drag the kids out from the water.
There are so many staff and life gurds running around, we felt very confident leaving the kids alone
There is e even a hamburger fast food place in the centre making it very eady for families.
The hotels ranch house steak were very surprise as we did not expect such high qality in a family resort so a well worth visit.

Room Tip: The best room are the ground floor facing the pool

We are two sisters who stayed in a family suite with our kids (7 & 10) for two nights at the end of October. All in all we had a good time and I would both recommend the place and consider returning myself.

Pros:
- Possibly best pool area in Eilat for children;
- Hotel located in the smack center of hotels, restaurants, beaches & promenade;
- Kitchenette in Family Suite great for the frugally-minded who don't wish to rely on expensive restaurant food;
- Room well thought out, nicely-appointed and comfortable;
- Staff are responsive and helpful.

Cons:
- Level of cleanliness in rooms and grounds leaves much room for improvement -- sticky corners in furniture and flooring, streaked glass, cigarette butts & trash on the lawns and sand (saw the same exact cigarette butt on the lawn at the entrance to the pool area for three days running), and guest trash bins in the pool area that haven't been washed out for weeks are examples.
- Thin walls may be a problem for sensitive sleepers.
- All the interiors are a wee bit shabby and old, as previous reviewers have noted -- stains, holes, rust. Our stove broke down, our door lock didn't work, our dishwasher was falling apart -- although in all fairness the hotel staff quickly solved the problems.
- On-site minimarket has limited choice and is expensive -- my tip is to venture out a couple of blocks to the left or right and you will find better, larger supermarkets.

In short, the hotel needs to renovate the rooms and better manage the cleaning staff to really shine and provide high value -- and I hope that they do so, as it is a nice hotel.

Room Tip: Some higher-floor rooms have minimal seaview -- ask for them.

We stayed at the Royal Garden twice in the last 6 months with our 3 kids
.
Bottom line: The hotel is very comfortable for families.

It's has relatively big and clean rooms divided to a living room and a "parents" bedroom. At the entrance of the room there is a small well equipped kitchen and a table for four. In the first time (at the Passover holiday) we reserved the bigger room with also a small room for the 2 older kids to sleep separately. In the second visit, just 2 weeks ago, we reserved a smaller room and they slept at the opened-up sofa in the living room.

From almost every room there is a view to the wide and beautiful pool and a little view to the Red sea. The pool has a section of sea sand which is very nice for the kids, But a walking distance of 5 minutes and one is in the real and very nice Red sea.

We also had breakfast at the hotel which was nice but a little bit "skinny" in Israeli terms. For example almost no fruits and good dairy products and cheese variety – only white cheese. Also the juices are terrible (definately not fresh) and the bread were very plain, without any healthy breads. But there was coffee, a lot of vegetables, eggs at different varieties.

But all and all the hotel is very close to the sea and to the boardwalk filled with café's and restaurants: for good Hamburgers for example go to "Moses" or "Aggadir"; for fresh salads and sandwiches go to "Aroma"; for noodles go to "Giraffe".

We do plan to come bach to this hotel with our children for our next Israel vacation.
