My sister swam with the dolphins with diving equipment and I swam with snorkel and mask.
The "guides" are very protective of the dolphins... they threatened to expel a woman who stroked one that approached the net separating the dolphin's area from the public bathing area.
Not quite sure for whose beneift the dolphins are there...suspect they were imported simply to attract tourists.

The coral here is in pretty bad shape.

I live in Eilat so I have excellent first hand experience of the wonderful dolphin Reef.
For dolphin lovers I can assure you that the dolphins are happy, safe and extremely well looked after by all the staff who care for them.
There is a beautiful clean sandy beach and you can swim with the dolphins or just watch them from the beach which has shade as well as sun with a restaurant and showering facilities,
It's a beautiful day out and the water is clean and good for young children.

As animal lovers, we were assured that the dolphins come and go of their own free will. There is space for them to move around, although there are barriers stopping them from going too far out to sea which we were told was for their own protection. The place is nice for families and potos and the people who work there are very knowledgeable about the animals.

Snorkelling with the dolphins was wonderful. They swim close by giving a wonderful view. The beach is beautiful. Seats available in the shade. Restaurants are just steps away.

My family booked for a swimming with dolphins experience. After a briefing, they collected their equipment and entered the water, each escorted by a personal guide. My family included an 8 year old and a 12 year old.
The guide helped when one of the kids had a squeezy moment under the water. He was reassured and returned to the depths.
Dolphins came and swam alongside them although no petting or touching is allowed.
