The beach area is a little packed but the reason you go to the reef is to swim with the dolphins. Diving can be a bit expensive but it is a pleasure

Great day at Dolphin Reef. We enjoyed lunch under the shady trees, food was delicious and very fast and very friendly. The snorkel instruction was thorough, equipment in good shape, staff was friendly, professional and concerned about guests' safety as well as the dolphins' in their reef. The snorkel experience was thrilling. To be next to and observe the dolphins underwater was worthwhile.

This is a mixed review because I have good and bad things to say about this place. The little beach is lovely, and being private is not crowded and has plenty of chairs etc. The red sea is lovely to swim in.
I had pre-booked a "swim with the dolphins" and that I do not recommend. For a start, it is expensive. The activity is about 90 minutes, the first hour of which was spent showing the little group how to use a snorkel and mask (yawn). We then went into the water and saw some dolphins at a distance for about 20 minutes. We were required to "hold onto each other" and when I let go of the next person for a few seconds to adjust my mask, the cranky leader told me she would end the swim if I did that again!! The people sitting on the dolphin wharf (for no fee) saw a lot more than we did. A nice beach and worthwhile going there to swim, but the "dolphin swim" is certainly not a recommended activity. Save your money for something else in Eilat.

The place is as stunning as it seemed. However, the dolphins are restricted to their artificial home. They are Black Sea dolphins. Here you can find some more good photos of this place: http://www.worldfortravel.com/2013/07/12/dolphin-reef-israel/

Went with the family to a vacation in EIlat . The Dolphin reef is one of the advatures . The beach is Ok ( no life guard) , you may go in for swim , in addition you may watch the feeding of the DOlphins ( 5 times per day) with very nice explanations ( in English as well) , you can swim with them ( basicaly it is snorkeling in their pool which is quite wide and it is not obvious that they will swim wth you :-) , and eveb dive with the Dolphins . We have decided to swim ( which is quiet expensive) . And were lucky that the DOlphin did approched us , unless that for snorkeling it is much too expensive , the coral reef for it self it ishardly exist in this site . The resturant is ok Ok with relativly reasonable prices. All in all I would go in for the beach and observe the Dolphins (8 of them ) for diving or snorkeling I would suggest to go to other sites.
