“Club Hotel Eilat - reasonable position”

this hotel is in walking distance to the airport, the center and the beach. From the outside it looks good and the pools are reasonably maintained. the rooms however need some refurbishment. their is a strong smell of air freshener in the corridors. some days you get new towels, soap etc and some days you do not.....

We spent 5 nights at the Club Hotel and this is my first and last stay there ever!
The service was poor, loud music all day and night, smelly room (smoke scent for adjacent rooms), TV didn't work, very expensive on site grocery store, pool was undergoing service and workers were on site all day, only one pool was available, gym is not open for guests & requires extra charge, and best of all - o e of the staff who resented our complaint started screen at us in a very nasty tone.
It was an expensive stay.
Not recommended !!!

We staid in the Club Hotel Eilat for 2 nights (Friday / Saturday). We got a 4 persons room, which I must admit is very big. The room was facing the street side (we could see the sea, it's true) there fore was noisy both because of the cars and because of the airplanes. On Saturday morning was less of an issue since the amount of incoming flights to Eilat is limited. On Sunday morning we woke up with the awful noise of the airport.
Hotel's Staff was...getting his work done. I can't say they were polite.
As I said the room was big, but really basic cleaned and furnitures were very old. The room is provided with a sleeping couch which was totally dirty.
On Saturday morning we went for breakfast convinced that once back to the room, it would have been clean. We were very surprised when we found out that it didn't happen. I called the reception and they said on Saturday no cleaning is done to the rooms. Ok, I can accept that, but we were there with a couple of friends of ours who said after Saturday's breakfast their room was clean, the bed was done and new towels had been placed in the bathroom...Once, upon check out, we asked to the staff, they said it's impossible...
Good thing in the hotel is the food. Both Friday dinner and Saturday / Sunday breakfast were very good with a big selection of food to pick from. As it it a family hotel, don't expect to have a quiet meal :) kids are running all over the place all the time.

Scared as hell when we booked this due to reviews. We travelled with 2 kids (6 & 4). Arrival was odd as unsure where the reception was. Huge hotel and struggled to find our room. Room was great. Poolside and HUGE for a hotel. View was great and quiet at night. Book poolside if possible.

As we visited in Feb only 3 pools were open. Hot tubs. Adult pool (well heated but kids who cannot swim cannot enter) and a heated and great kids pool. Kids loved this hotel. The nautical theme (cheesy but they loved it), the lighthouse lookout and the football pitch. It really has all you need to make a child happy. There was even wine, chocolates etc on arrival. Nice touch.

The breakfast was huge and great for us though people are so greedy! I felt for the Ethiopian staff who came to Isreal out of famines in the 80s and 90s and who were employed to chuck out large amounts of food that the (largely Israeli) guests seemed to waste on epic scales. Best breakfast we had on our travels in the ME.

The supermarket on site is really good value. Cheap and very nice people. The room only has microwave and kettle so not sure what cooking anyone can do, but great for snacks. TV had lots of English shows. Comfy beds and sleep. Constant hot water. Staff came when called with any queries and we had as many towels and cleanings of the room we needed.

Arcade is crap. Ate coins. Waste of money. Not able to access entertainment as all info in Hebrew and not translated for us.

Kids had a blast. Best part of their whole trip. They would go back and as it kept them happy we would too.

No wifi (had to pay) which was an issue. Free luggage storage. Staff a little hot and cold (depended on who was on the desk).

Great holiday. This is not a 5 star but we had great rates via Bookings.com. Who can argue with all this for a family of four for £50 a night?

Room Tip: Ask for poolside. The others overlook youth hostels and car park and expect could be noisy.

We got a suite that was suitable for 5 people and we stayed there for a week.

Good:
The suite was with a good sized rooms .
The hotel itself was in a good location in the center of Eilat and close to the beach and to a big Mall.
A lots of pubs, restaurants and attractions nearby.
The lifeguards in the pool didn't allow kids that don't know how to swim to enter the deep water pool.

Bad:
The lift from the underground parking to the hotel didn't work.
Usually the reception is at the entrance of the hotel, but in Club Hotel Eilat, the reception is far at the backside of the hotel.
When we first erraived to the hotel we left all our luggage on the sidewalk outside the hotel, like the homeless.
There wasn't any hotel employee with a cart to help us and take our luggage so we need to leave one of us to stay in the street and watch our bags.
We also were disappointed that after a long drive to Eilat we had to stand and wait in a very long queue to make the check-in at the reception. The check-in process took a very long time.
They cleaned the suite very basically.
There was no free Wi-Fi.
The temperature of the pool water was too cold. In the winter it is needed to be a heated pool.
The suite walls was too thin so we heard a lot of noise from the next rooms.
Noisy guests up even after 1:00 am every night with no effort to keep quiet.
The sofa bed mattress wasn't comfortable for slipping.
There was only one remote control to share between the TV in the living room and TV in the bedroom.
In the bedroom we didn't enjoy the very small old fashion CRT TV.
In kitchenette there was very basic kitchenware with electric kettle, microwave and a very small refrigerator without a stove plate and without dishwasher.

Just to summarize:
For suite-hotel that are mentioned with five stars we expected more.
In our judgment it is a moderate family suite-hotel and we think we would give it only Three Stars.

Me and my husband were in this hotel from 27.12-30.12. This hotel is not cheap and is not 5 star hotel. The SPA is very good, the rooms are ok but that is it. The food was not good. The pool was very cold. The body cream and conditioner were missing. There was only shampoo and soap. This is not ok for a 5 star hotel. if you are family with kids then this hotel is good for you but if you are a couple then you can find another cheaper and better hotel.

5 days vacation in Club hotel Eilat.
It was great, the weather was perfect, and the hotel is in a good location, near the beach, near the mall and boardwalk.
Many pools, the children have plenty of activities, the stuff is nice and the rooms are cozy.
Supermarket in the location and prices very reasonable.
We had a lovely vacation!

Room Tip: Not if you are looking for good sea view
