Going to a family vacation in Eilat, Royal Beach was selected this time. With advance booking we had a family room which means two separate sleeping areas plus a seating area. Spacious and comfortable enough for a family. Having two TV sets also reduces the chances for a conflict. The only downside is the single bathroom. Hotel is pretty well maintained and is kept clean. The pool is quite large and the seating area around it is really big so one can find a place even at the busier hours. Location is great at it is in the center of the promenade. Every place is within walking distance which when combined with the comfort April weather walking actually becomes the option of choice. Service is somewhat sloppy. Cleaning a room reserved for 4 people ends up with 3 towels or concierge giving answers later found to be inaccurate.

Room Tip: Rooms are facing the pool and the Red Sea so it is mainly room type and floor of preference.

We ended our trip in Israel with a two night stay in Eilat to be poised for a day trip to Petra. Full disclosure..I am a travel agent and this is the first time I am writing a review here. We were very disappointed in many factors about the hotel, so many inconsistencies and frustrations in the hotel staff and management, lack of communication and the lack of cleanliness. Our room did have a beautiful view of the sea. The condition of the room was acceptable, minus the dust and sticky and uncleaned furniture surfaces. Though there were members of the staff who did try to rectify some of our issues, the communication was very inconsistent and so different from the other hotels we stayed in during our eleven night trip. The hotel overall, did seem to be well maintained but could use some updating and sprucing up, especially if the Royal Beach is considered to be a higher level hotel.

The first thing that hits you when you enter the hotel is the smell of some kind of perfume or disinfectant that permeates the entire hotel. It is vile. The common areas are old and run down, but nice enough -- then you get to your hallway... the carpets are stained and the hallways feel dirty. If you were not sufficiently grossed out by the smell and the dirt, when you get to your room will take you the rest of the way. The bed was one of the worst I've ever experienced in a hotel. The A/C goes off every time you leave your room, so the room is NEVER cool. The carpet in the room is old and ratty... this really is a horrible hotel billed as a 4 star experience. There must be somewhere in Eilat to stay that offers a true 4 star hotel experience, however, this is as far from it as you can get. Stay away!

Room Tip: Find another hotel. We stayed in room 704, the view is spectacular, the room is a dump!

We had a "family room" and it was spacious. The room was clean. The dining facility was large and the food was amazing. There was an outside dining area where they made omelets in the morning and grilled at night. The staff was friendly and gracious. The view of the Red Sea was gorgeous and there was a private beach for guests. The hotel pool is surrounded by Palm Trees and is beautiful.

Great staff, friendly, courteous, and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located on the " boardwalk" along the beach on hotel row. Don't expect too much from the beach it is gravel not sand but has its own beauty. There is lots of shopping near by. The hotel is wonderful with fabulous views of the Red Sea from every balcony. The pool area is breath taking. The food is great.

I enjoyed seven nights at this beautiful hotel, the royal rooms are extremely large with plenty of space with a large bathroom including a jacuzzi and a lovely beautiful view of Eilat from the balcony. The standard of food was excellent always very fresh and food areas were always kept very clean, and staff were always very attentive and caring. The hotel grounds are well maintained and staff made you feel very welcome.
This was my first stay at this hotel and I would defiantly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a luxury hotel in Eilat , and look forward to returning later in the year.

My wife and I celebrated a fantastic two night birthday, in the Royal Beach.
We returned again to our favorite hotel in Eilat.
No doubt it's the best, luxurious, pampering, hotel in the in the beautiful Southern city.
Special attention to details, excellent caring staff and outstanding management,
Delicious breakfast at Bobe's restaurant,
All these again leave us a sweet taste, and a feeling of Elite vacation.
Well done and keep it up.
We will continue to come.

Room Tip: Presidential Floor, (or Royal rooms), including entrance to the Lounge.
