This park has a section of animals in traditional cages as well as a very large portion of desert that you drive through to see nearly extinct desert animals in their natural habitat. The drive road is a little rough and the directional signs are not great but you cannot get lost since the entire portion of the desert that is the reserve is fenced. There is not a large selection of animals but they are out there and you do get to see them fairly well. Great for children.

We visited the place. Hoge one but well organized. You reach easilly each place also with your car.
Clear signs and helpful. Clear explanatios visual aids and a short movie at entrance. Take one hour more than you planned. Don't run.
On the main way to Eilat but also easy to reach if you sleep there and take a short trip by your car.

Timna is an amazing and big park. There are many different locations which require a vehicle to go between them. The scenery is amazing with many unique shapes and colors of rocks.
The archeological findings are also fascinating and you can taste the history of the place with the old temple and copper mines. Some of the locations require climbing between canyon walls, nothing extreme and is actually pretty fun. There's also a place to fill bottles with colorful sands and make your own unique artsy souvenir. Definitely visit if you're in the area, just not in the summer because it's still the desert and requires some hiking.

In addition to the great natural landscapes (Solomon's Pillars) and the old copper mining history here, you will enjoy the Life size model of the Tabernacle used by Moses and the Israelites on their journey to the Promised Land. Thanks to those who so carefully researched the Biblical description and recreated this site for all to visit. Truly memorable day in the desert.

We spent 2 hours driving thru and taking pictures of the points of interest on the map. It was interesting and very scenic. You could feel the history.
