Hotel for ok for our holiday. Room (junior suite) was spacious and clean, materials new, bed linen clean and a good pillow. There were no extra pillows. Room safe did not work in the beginning, but after the handy man came to open it, we had no probs.
The breakfast was excellent. The variety of offerings was wonderful, there was a lot of different vegetables and cheeses, and the bread was so fresh it was still warm some mornings (we are early birds). The consistency could be improved: some mornings there were fresh fruit, some there was not. One morning the coffee machine did not work and the only option was instant coffee - not good. But luckily the had fresh mint for tee, so that helped.
Pool is not heated, and the water is way too cold to swim during winter months.
Walking to the beaches takes about 20 mins, not ten like told in some hotel info sites.
The hotel was more than half-empty when we were there. For us that was a good thing, we always had sun beds by the pool and no need to queue to breakfast.
Most mornings, while we were eating breakfast, there was an older man sweeping the breakfast room floors. They were not that dirty, and to my mind he could do this some other time than when people are eating.
Some mornings the staff circled the tables and poured coffees, but most mornings they did not. It was also very much disturbing how all kinds of people went in and out the kitchen doors not wearing any kitchen uniforms, and how they came to get coffee and even to fry an egg in the breakfast room. Don't they have their own facilities for eating? How does this affect the hygiene?
The staff could have been more attentive. Most of them, e.g. the reception, staff in the breakfast room and the pool guy, ignored us completely. The did not greet us, nor did they once smile to us. The guys sitting at the hotel entrance (guards?) ignored us also while playing with their mobile phones, only once one of them greeted my boyfriend when we came in; I was air to them all.
Conclusion: the Nova hotel is ok place when you are not demanding too much. The breakfast made the stay worthwhile, even if the staff is very much the old soviet-style without smiles and politeness. Don't expect anything special and you wont be disappointed.
