“A good hotel in a very problematic location.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2014 via mobile

The hotel is located at the most southern point in Israel. A few meters from the Egyptian border. The hotel architecture is very nice, the rooms are nice and comfortable. The view from the rooms gives a glimpse of the red sea and the desert near by. The looby is usualy quiet and in the evening there is live music. Breakfast is a typical israeli hotel servings with a large verity of food that is fresh and tasty. The hotel restaurant is less than average, at the price they charge, you can get a much better meal in the city. There is no night life in the hotel itself. The major problem of this hotel is it location - about 20 minutes from the city of eilat. Public transportation from and to the hotel is occasionally and the hours dose not include the ability to enjoy the night life at the city. You can always order a taxi at a ripoff price. The service at the reception is unfriendly and clumsy. They never heard about a concierge. Bottom line, the hotel may offer a reduced price compaired to the same rated hotels in the hotel area but the need to pay the ripoff taxi price simply makes this hotel a poor choice. For me, this is a bad choice. If the hotel management wants to compete with the large hotels in the hotel area they need to give a decent solution for transportation to and from the hotel and work very hard to improve the service.

Last year at the same time- the last week of December,I wrote an appreciative review of the Princess.I have just returned having spent the last week of 2013 there, and have found the hotel as delightful as ever.Superb location, where the mountain touches the sea, lovely hotel, very good food, excellent staff and very courteous and helpful, and generally a very relaxing holiday. So once again I have nothing but praise for the Princess.

I have never had a front desk agent raise his voice at me, I was granted this "honor" for the first time at the Princess hotel in Eilat. We were standing in line with two young children, when a young couple cut in line in front of us, I approached the agent who was checking them in and told him we had been there before and could he please check us in first. He did not respond or make eye contact. I asked if he thought this was acceptable and he raised his voice - without making eye contact - and said not to yell at him. His name tag read "Eldad". I was speechless and did not respond. I guess the concept of service is absent from this property. I will not EVER return to this photel and suggest you stay away.
From the chipped enamel in the bathtup to the cigarette burn hols in the sleeper sofar (in a supposedly non-smiking room), unfriendly staff and exhorbitant prices, this is not a good way to spend your money.

We stayed at the Princess Hotel in Eilat.
We stayed in the club rooms that are on the top floors of the hotel and includes a business lounge that was very rich.
The service of the hotel staff was excellent, especially the reception staff that were very kind.
Breakfast was very rich. We recommended the hotel to anyone who looking for a quiet hotel that not in the center , with a private beach.

Room Tip: The clubs room are excellent

By far the best hotel in Eilat. Worth every penny. Hotel facilities are amazing, the pools are huge, the beach is 1 min walking distance, the food is in fresh, healthy, diverse. Very clean and every request is being taken care of as the only one at that moment! The staff is kind and professional. The fact that the hotel is a few miles from the city center is an advantage especially if you're looking for a quiet quality time for you as a couple or for your family.
