We have recently returned from a delightful week's stay at your wonderful hotel. The accomodation was superb and the balcony sea-view quite breath-taking.The choice at meal-times was phenomenal and the presentation unbelievable.Public relations were very caring, particularly when they arranged for my wife to go to hospital after being stung whilst snorkelling,A few days after leaving the hotel for Jerusalem,we were surprised and very pleased when P.R. phoned our cell-phone to enquire if my wife was recovered, which we were able to confirm that everything was in order and thank them for their concern,The ambiance of the hotel was very pleasing and we are looking forward to returning after Succoth. We stayed at the Isrotel Ambassador for two nights, mostly as a jumping-off place for diving and visiting Petra, Jordan (which is fantastic. Go to Petra!). In that regard, the location is great, especially with the Manta dive shop on the premises. (Note: if you are not an advanced diver, you may find that your diving options are limited at the Manta. Check directly with the dive shop so you know if there are dives at your level scheduled on the days you will be in Eilat).

The other advantages of the hotel's location are the 5-minute walk to the excellent Eilat aquarium and the coral reef preserve (well worth a snorkel!).

However, the hotel itself is poorly staffed. Often a trainee with poor English is the only person at the desk or by the pool. We had several service mixups, including the time it took an hour (!) to get a key replaced.

Additionally, the single in-hotel restaurant is pretty bland (Well, what do you expect for kosher hotel food? Don't eat dinner at the hotel.)

If you have children, you'll probably love that you can let them loose in the nice pool area and in the halls. If you don't have kids... bring some earplugs, which will also help you block out the cheesy evening lounge singers.

In short: This might be one of the better hotels in Eilat, particularly if you have children. But it's not memorable or worth coming back to. Much like Eilat itself.

We have just returned from 2 nights at the Isrotel Ambassador hotel and wished we could have stayed longer. We contacted the hotel directly for booking and got a better deal than we could find on the internet. Booking was painless, we got the sea view room we requested and what a view! It was worth the small extra fee. Rooms were spacious, clean and very well maintained. They even guarantee to fix anything within half an hour, in fact something was fixed in our bathroom before we even notified them of a problem! Breakfast was the usual hotel buffet breakfast but didn't look like it had been picked over by crowds of people before us. The pool lifeguards were very enthusiastic, taking water safety very seriously, they even close off other pools where there is no lifeguard on duty! Not that this was a problem, there was still plenty of poolside space. The spa prices were rather high but they seemed to have a permanent special offer of 20% discount. Overall, a very pleasant hotel and we are not easy to please! We were so impressed, we plan to return later this year.

Had a really wonderful stay here this past march. Very convenient for diving, as the Manta club is on the hotel premises. The whole downstairs looks recently renovated, and breakfast was great. Also, the place was nice and quiet. Avoiding the north beach/lagoon scene was a huge plus.

We loved this hotel. The hotel's location is perfect since it is right across from our favorite beach - the Coral beach were you can go snorkeling or diving. The hotel's atmosphere is very laid back and relaxing. The rooms are spotless and the beds and linen are the most comfortable I've slept in. The food at this hotel was outstanding. The selection was incredible. Both the breakfasts and dinners were amazing. I can't wait to go back.

We booked this hotel on the basis of other TripAdvisor reviews and because of its position opposite Eilat's Coral Beach. This does mean you need a taxi or free hotel bus to get to the centre of Eilat, but it's much nicer.

Our first room was brilliant, large, plenty of storage, clean, everything working. Our second room, allocated after an overnight trip to Jordan, had poor water flow in the basin but was otherwise similar.

Breakfast was outstanding, even in a country where the breakfasts are legendary. The choice was enormous and everything was fresh, including the breads and pastries.

If you don't fancy either the free beach or the Coral Beach Nature Reserve, both across the road, the hotel main pool is large, clean and surrounded with loungers, hammocks, and even real beds.

Staff were attentive and helpful.
