“Great breakfast”
Reviewed March 13, 2013 via mobile

This is a very good hotel!
The location is at the end ofmthe hotels area, but it on the beach (the view from my window was great),few meters from the king city, and very closed to few shopping centers.
The reception staff were nice but not effective, check in took too long time, and that was the same whenever we needed the reception.
The room was great and the room service staff were great too.
The breakfast is really the best thing in this hotel. Huge selection of very good food.

I recently treated my daughter to a weekend in Eilat, Israel. Because I wished to pamper her, I chose a hotel with a high rating (and more expensive than some others). We were surprised and disappointed to discover many malfunctions in our room and very little in the way of noise-proofing. Israeli's (which we are) tend to be noisy, particularly on holiday, and the late-night noise from the lobby was heard all too well from our room! Make sure to get a room far up (NOT THE SECOND FLOOR) and away from the center.

Room Tip: Not near lobby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The hotel is rather a mixed bag. There are some good points- the decor is nice. The lobby , the pools, dining room and the rooms are all interesting and beautiful. The location is great, right on the promenade, in front of the beach, view from the room is stunning. The service in the dining room was great. Also room service was quick and efficient. Food was good- especially the breakfast.
On the other hand there are too many faults for a hotel that supposed to be 5 star deluxe resort. The service at the reception is too slow, no shuttle from the airport, the pool area is not maintained well, the area is dirty, loungers are also dirty and some broken, no staff around to help you with the umbrellas, no hot water at pool showers. The staff is not helpful enough. They listen to your complaint with understanding expression but do nothing about it. For such a high price you'd expect much more. Sadly it's not a true 5 star.

There are many things wrong with this hotel. When we arrived the man on the door watched us haul our cases up the steps. The reception area is tatty - dirty carpets and damaged furniture. The wifi is expensive - it only works by the reception desk. I complained three times - no response and when I checked out and complained again no removal from the bill.
The breakfast is fine but the dirty containers and shelves were really off putting - broken hot water jugs that are dirty - the towel under the juice machine splattered with juice was just disgusting. Put it in jugs so its not splattered on my feet. The chair cushions are dirty.
The staff are surly - the reception area is slow and understaffed . The pool area is nice - but the chairs are old and many broken - no offer of a drink just a warm water dispenser by the pool. Not 5 star or really even 4. It's tired and dated but there is no excuse for dirty and broken.

Stayed in February 2013 for 3 nights. The hotel is magnificent and pretty well kept. Despite the temperature of about high 60 to low seventies we were allowed to go to the Herods Boutique side where the water in the pool is slightly warmed. The spa was very good. As expected the food was out of this world. The Israeli breakfast had whatever you could want and then some. Location is right off the beach and the Promenade. The staff was very accommodating and courteous. For dinner we went off the property but that is not necessary as they have a great meat restaurant on premises. This facility earns its 5 star rating. Well worth the price.

Room Tip: Higher floor will give a better view of the Gulf of Aquaba. In addition as k for a room closer to th...
