“*5 for the price of a hostel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 29, 2013

Spacious bedroom, large wardrobe, modern living room with flat screen TV, clean renovated bathroom, well furnished patio. Large space with kitchen facility, sink and micro. Helps any guest
feel comfortable, sitting in the patio and having a small meal in your 'Home from Home'. Quite area and friendly staff. WiFi that never faltered. What more can one ask for a modest price.

Room Tip: All the rooms of the same good quality

Like mentioned in previous post this is an apartment type hotel. We booked a 2 bedroom suite In November. We found it to be very functional, and not that far from Eilat itself. We asked for a non smoking room, but it was apparent when we checked in that the previous occupants had been smoking in it. If we was going back out to Eilat with a group of friends, then we probably would stay here again. But as a family with a young baby, then no. The property doesn't have any lifts (although the manager did offer a hand with luggage) - and dragging the baby push chair up and down the stairs was starting to be a chore. The property was also full of cats on the ground level. One day we came back and forgot to fully close a window - we found a cat wondering in our room. The amount of cats do leave a slight odour and gives a negative imagine to the whole apartments hygiene. Brochures and leaflets provided by management were all in English and Russian.

We stayed at the Rich Luxury Suites apartment for 3 nights.

Pros:
- Good location. A bit away from the main area but in a quite neighborhood. Parking for free.
- Libby at the reception is very nice and helpful. Gave us lots of information about the area and helped us out with our queries about transport and things to do.
- Small kitchenette area. Hot water kettle, microwave, mini fridge and sufficient plates, cups and glasses.
- WiFi works really well.

Cons:
- Michael (I think that was his name), who was at the reception area a couple of times was nice at first but whenever asked any questions, had no patience for us and was extremely rude a couple of times. I almost prayed every time I needed something that I meet Libby and not the Michael.
- Need to set a timer to turn on the heating for hot water is shower. I didn’t know about it and showered in cold water before asking about it. Being told about it in advance would have been better.

Room Tip: Avoid Michael as much as possible, unless you are better at ignoring rudeness.

We were staying overnight, because of our tour of Petra in Jordan. Our first challenge was finding the place. The directions given to us appeared to have been Google translated from Russian and were ineffective at best. After we finally found the place we had to get our key from the lock box, as the office is closed after 9 pm. We were greeted by a clowder of cats, a few of which were not friendly. The place smelled of them which was revolting. The suite was basic. The only modern device was the television which was never used. The beds were cheap and uncomfortable. To the end of our days we will laugh at the name of this place. Those who gave this place 4 or 5 stars are either shilling for the owner or had very low expectations. We found the place repugnant. When we left, the office wasn't open, so we returned the key to the lock box. I will give the place 2 stars because we were able to park our rental car in front of the place while were away on our tour.

Room Tip: Stay if you must, avoid if you can.

If you're looking for good value, this is it. It is a good compromise between a resort hotel and a hostel. While it is an apartment-style hotel, there is staff onsite. Luvay (I am not sure if that is correct) welcomed us with glasses of cold water and gave us a good orientation when we arrived.

It is located not on a main street but in a residential street but it is not isolated. Many taxis pass by looking for passengers. It is a well-maintained, quiet neighbourhood withy some stray cats. There are two groceries nearby, a 24-hour but more expensive one to the left and a bigger one to the right. The beach and Mall are about 10-15 minute walk.

The room we booked turned out to be small for two people - there was little space for our luggages so we should have taken advantage of the upgrade offer from Booking.com. But no big issue since it was clean and nicely-decorated. The kitchenette was well-equipped. The aircon, WIFI and hot shower worked. But I wish there was a night lite close to the floor going to the washroom. Another nice gesture would be to provide adaptors for the Israeli sockets.

Room Tip: Don't get a junior suite if you have suitcases. Some may want a room with a terrace but if you...

Somethings are really good here: the suites are a generous size, nice decor (although I would say done cheaply and so now falling apart), staff member Libby was helpful, great to have basic self catering facilities and outdoor dining area. Nb you only get this with the suite- not the standard rooms. BUT the owner was abrupt and lacked good communication. Certain safety aspects are not up to standard- would especially watch this place with young children.

good value and pleasant rooms in the middle of tourist season when eilat is crammed to the brim, nice to have this quite hotel to sleep in, away from all the noisy adolescents,
the hotel staff was very helpful providing one-to-one service, i.e. letting one check emails at their computer in reception
