This hostel is perfect for budget travelers visiting Masada. Basic hostel room, bare bones but with minifridge. Can't beat it for $68 for a private room for 2. The a/c works and as much as I'd love a bit more luxury, I really can't complain. The patio is huge and has a great view, and has some tables and chairs available (but its 9pm and over 90 outside).
Cons: bathroom could have been cleaner but I've seen MUCH worse so i really can't give it a 2 for cleanliness. Also I wish I'd brought my sleep sheet on principle, but sheets are clean if threadbare. No top sheet, only a comforter - but it smells clean. Food at dinner was mediocre at best for $16, so you might want to bring sandwich fixings or snacks from the city. Also, while there is plenty of space in the common area, its not terribly comfortable or air conditioned.
Bring beer or wine, and a book. More
