One night stay (we seriously considered extending, so nice was the vibe) to visit St John's basilica and Ephesus.
Incredibly good effort with the design and construction of a green field hotel. It is totally sympathetic to it's surroundings.
The staff were super friendly and even though it was in the dead of low season, we had a massive spread of awesome food laid on for us. It was wife's birthday and totally unbidden by me, they appeared with a cake which was iced to say happy birthday to her and a couple of glasses of wine on the house.
You just don't get that from the Hilton now do you?
This place deserves to be number one and I wish the team all of the good fortune they deserve. Best wishes from a couple of footloose kiwis.

Just be aware if you suffer from respiratory problems, that the people of Selcuk burn coal for warmth and there is no wind to blow the smoke away. It is the worst air quality I have ever experienced. Maybe visit when it is warmer?

Room tip: I would imagine they are all good.

Thank you for your winning review! Thank you for mentioning the incredible effort in the design and construction. The hotel was designed and built by the owner and host, and it was built with such love and concern for comfort. We love the history that surrounds us and incorporated that with the design for our hotel. We were thrilled to celebrate your wife's birthday with you. Thank you for all of your wonderful comments. As a side note for future trips: the coal burning season is from end of October to February. During the other 7 months the air is very clear and fresh. We hope you return again!

This is a first-rate hotel, with beautiful facilities, comfortable and sparkling-clean rooms, and warm, welcoming staff. It's one of the most pleasant hotels we've stayed in.
We booked two rooms in the Ayasoluk Hotel for a week-long stay.
We arrived late at night, and despite our late arrival, were warmly greeted and given excellent food. We felt at home immediately. Our rooms were gorgeous and well appointed. We slept well during our stay -- almost too well!
We awoke to a lavish breakfast buffet -- fresh fruit, pastries, cheeses, roasted vegetables, local jams, coffee, tea, juice. The dining room is beautiful, and has a good view of the city and its sights. We were here in winter, so did not make use of the beautiful pool, but the patio and terrace is inviting. We did have the prix-fixe menu for dinner one night, which was terrific. The mezzes were freshly prepared; the main courses (sea bass and heavenly kebabs) were cooked to perfection. And the desert was delectable.
The hotel is in Selçuk, the site of Ephesus. There is an unbelievable wealth of things for the historically inclined to visit: the Roman city at Ephesus; the Basilica of St. John; the Temple of Artemis. Further afield, there is the Greek city of Miletus, the Temple of Apollo in Didim, and a host of other archeological and historical sites. The hotel arranged a tour guide for our visit to Ephesus; the tour made the visit to Ephesus a far richer experience than it would have been otherwise.
It's hard to say what we liked best about the hotel because there's so much to like. The food is excellent. The rooms are comfortable and beautiful. The location is terrific. The staff is warm, hospitable, accommodating, and well informed. They gave good advice about places to eat, places to visit, and made us feel welcome.
It helped us fall in love with this part of Turkey.

Thank you for your excellent review! We take your *feeling at home* to be the best compliment. When you travel far afield we understand it is hard to find a place as cozy and welcoming as your own home. So it is a fantastic to hear that we could create that experience here for you in Selcuk. As you experienced spending a week in Selcuk is a great option to see a host of historic and archaeological sites. It was a pleasure to host you and we hope you return to Selcuk again. Thank you again for all of your wonderful compliments.

Located close to Ancient city of Ephesus. Hotel claims to offer high quality services, however I found them to be quite average. Wifi connection was quite sloppy and there was plenty of room for progress on hygiene front and other services. Overall it felt slightly overpriced for what they offer.

We are all sorry that we do not remember your visit here! Generally we spend time with each of our guests to ensure they are comfortable and happy. We offer personable services, and high quality rooms and amenities. Our WiFi is no longer sloppy- we have the best technology available for our area, with 1 modem for every 2 or 3 rooms. We are always updating and adding new things- we pour all of our efforts and money right back into the hotel to ensure that each of our guests leave happy. We hope you can visit us again soon, to tell us if we have progressed!

My stay here was unforgettable. I stayed in room 207, overlooking the pool and mountains. My room was clean, comfortable and cozy. Love it so much! Felt like home. Breakfast was repetitive but still yummy. The staffs, namely Murseli, his brother (Sorry, I forgot your name!!!), Yasin and Sarah were approachable and very welcoming. Will I come here again if I visit Turkey? Absolutely!

I would recommend this as the best place to stay while visiting Turkey. We stayed at Ayasoluk Hotel for three nights. It was a wonderful experience. It was relaxing and exciting. We spent our time visiting the ancient cities, then would return to the hotel for a warm dinner by the fire. Each morning we were warmly greeted and had our delicious breakfast overlooking the Isabey Mosque. The hotel is serene, with gardens in each corner, the lush green in the surrounding hills, and the misty sea in the distance. The castle and church, the mosque, the sites of Ephesus surround the hill, (Ayasoluk Hill for which the hotel is named). This makes the neighborhood feel so small and cozy but with such expansive views. The hotel itself is entirely charming yet modern. It has all the conveniences of a modern hotel (hot showers, super clean, USB port next to the bed, ceiling fan, and great WiFi); yet it has all the charm of a small boutique hotel built in an old building. The stone walls are beautiful and blend in with the old neighborhood, the flagstone gardens make the place feel especially cool and cozy. The hosts were likewise fantastic. Each of the staff introduced themselves and asked if we needed anything and how our day had been. It was very friendly to return to such warm warmheartedness. This was the most relaxing three days of our vacation yet we saw the House of the Virgin Mary and Ephesus, the sites on Ayasoluk Hill, the Ephesus Museum and we went to Sirince. The staff offered us help to reach each destination, without pushing tours or Taxis; they provided very helpful information. It truly was a sanctuary during our vacation.

Thank you for your wonderful review! It is wonderful to hear that your stay with us was so relaxing as well as interesting. It was great chatting with you over the fire after dinner. Thank you for complimenting the mystic sense of our hotel in flush with our great surroundings. Thank you for complimenting our nice hot and high pressured showers, and thoughtful touches. A lot of love went into making our hotel the sanctuary that you experience today.
