If you're visiting Ephesus this is where you should stay. Period. The private room we stayed in was nicer than some hotel rooms. The area is quaint and adorable, and the owners are just delightful people.

We wanted to stay in Selcuk for 2 nights so that we could visit Ephesus at leisure and go in to the site very early before the tour coaches arrived and before it got too hot.We booked the Boomerang guesthouse on Hostelbookers and drove to Selcuk. The guest house was a really lovely place. The owners are a family, some of which live in Australia. It is in the old part of Selcuk which is really pretty with a very old mosque and ruined Basilica nearby. It is also next to the museum which was closed when we were there as it is being extensively renovated. The guesthouse is about a mile from Ephesus(15 lira to top entrance by taxi and dolmus back from bottom exit)The guesthouse has obviously had a lot spent on it as it has wonderful shower rooms, bedrooms very comfortable and lots of attractive features, pictures and curtains. It has a lovely roof terrace where you can relax on sofas and cushions and where there is a tv and good selection of books. The restaurant is a lovely garden area with trees and plants, tapestries and comfortable sofas, water pipes etc. There is a lovely atmosphere and the food is great. The price of this lovely place is very reasonable and includes a very good Turkish breakfast. The only thing is make sure the staff know you want to go to Ephesus early so that breakfast is on time!Selcuk is a nice little place to look around and it is much cheaper than the resorts(We were based in Bodrum and drove here)I would definately recommend the Boomerang guesthouse.Because of staying near Ephesus we were able to see the best parts of the site, including the terraced houses, practically on our own,an amazing place!

We stayed at the Boomerang Guest House for two nights and it was incredibly pleasant. Our room was clean And tidy with a lovely balcony. Good value for money. Great breakfast and would definitely recommend their restaurant attached. The staff were above and beyond helpful with planning the next stages of our trip. Great location for visiting Ephesus, and very handy across from bus station. Definitely recommend, A+

Super friendly atmospere. Family run. Great room (fruit tree over hanging the balcony and a stork feeding her chicks in a nearby nest). The bed needed an update but I slept well after busy days in Selcuk, Sirince and Ephesus.
A short walk from the bus stop. We asked a man at the bus stop for directions to the hotel and by the time we had crossed the road, hotel manager Abdullah had rushed across to meet us (after getting a phonecall from the man at the bus stop to say we had arrived). Selcuk is a great little town.
There is a great courtyard that Abdullah has done up with gardens, a bar and comfortable furniture. It is a great place to end your day. The design allows you to chat with other travelers about your day and your plans or you can find a quiet spot on your own to relax.
I wouldn't recommend the laundry service as a few items came back worse for wear. But that wouldn't stop me from staying again. Just launder else where!
Thankyou to Abdullah and his brothers for a great stay !

Staff could not have been more friendly or accommodating. The rooms are all newly renovated and the entire place is sparkling. The restaurant and bar was a delightful place to eat and socialize for a night. The restaurant was solid and comparable in price and quality to the many very good kabab restaurants in Selcuk. A solid and safe choice just down the road from Ephesus with a friendly staff who speak English. The rooms do not have televisions but there is excellent wifi available.

We arrived quite early in the morning after an overnight bus from Istanbul and were warmly greeted by Abdullah and ushered to an available room, where he told us to take a nap before meeting him in the adjoining restaurant for tea. The rest of our stay followed this incredible hospitality, from the excellent service (and outstanding food) in the restaurant, to the family's willingness to answer our myriad questions and just chat. We so loved watching the storks in the nest nearby, reading on the charming rooftop terrace and the location is perfect for exploring Selchuk and the environs, from Ephesus to the beach. And the rooms were lovely as well-- we had a standard private with separate bath and everything looked to be brand new and recently refurbished--the entire guesthouse is gorgeous and pristine. Can't recommend enough and will absolutely stay again if we're in the area--the family owners made it for us.
