Easy to get to and on a quiet street in a nice neighborhood. The owner is very pleasant and shuttled us to and from Ephesus, loaned us a guide book to the site, and recommended a good lunch place as well. The room was clean, large, and had a very small balcony with superb views of the stork in it's nest across the street. The rooftop has a lovely couch and atmosphere for lounging. The food was just ok. Breakfast was better than the poorly cooked dinner we ate there. I'd recommend staying here and eating dinner across the main street in the center of town. Easy walk to the outstanding Sat. market behind the bus station and St. John's Basilica is right across the street.

Cannot praise this hotel highly enough. Fantastic English speaking staff who assisted us with private guide to Ephesus, hire car for day trip to Parmakkale. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Wonderful rooftop restaurant with wonderful breakfast and fabulous Turkish dinner. Hotel is 2 minutes walk to the centre of the town with restaurants, shops etc. Waling distance to the bus station. Rooms are full of Turkish decorations and lots of character. Our room had a great balcony. There is a stork nest, complete with stork, outside the rooftop restaurant.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony.

Hotel is in a very nice quiet area, not far from the centre, St. John's basilica is just across the road. The hotel also offered free shuttle service to Ephesus, and pick up, it was very nice of them. The hotel terrace ( where breakfast is eaten) is very nice, and has a lovely view, especially seeing the storks nesting just in front of hotel. room was clean and nicely decorated, but the window of the room opened onto the hotel shaft, and therefore there was no access to fresh air in the room. otherwise service was good. location is the hotel's + points.

We stayed for one night and had a good experience.perfect location, max. 5 mins walk to otogar (bus station). The hotel is right opposite to the town centre and next to St John church. Got free shuttle to/from Efes (3 times a day). Staff are helpful. Food is ok but the view from the terrace restaurant is superd, esp at night. The room is quite small but it was clean and tidy, and air-condition worrks well. They have a nice shop inside/next to the hotel, fortunately the owner was there when we visited and he explained the artwork to us.

We stayed at this little hotel to see Ephesus and saw so much more. Selcuk is a delightful little town (so much nicer than the huge beachside sprawl of nearby Kusadasi) with heaps of history. We were there in nesting season and not only were we greeted by storks nesting on the Byzantine pillars of the old aquaduct as soon as we left the train but there were two stork nests in close view from the charming hotel. Wonderful birds with their great wings and joyful bill clacking whenever they arrived back at the nest. Could have watched them for hours as we relaxed on the terrace, which like the rest of the hotel has attractive traditional Turkish decoration.
The Byzantine castle and the handsome remains of the basilica where St John the Evangelist is buried also form part of the breathtaking view from the terrace while a stroll down the hill takes you to the magnificent ancient mosque of Isa Bey and the scant remains of the famous Temple of Artemis.
Our host and the hotel staff could not have been more helpful - providing free transport to and from Ephesus and finding us a wonderful place for lunch where we ate delicious sweet and savoury borek. Ephesus itself is well worth the trip, the Mediterranean coast is in easy reach with an uncrowded beach and we also caught a dolmus into the hills to visit the pretty (but rather touristy) old Greek village of Syrince.

Room Tip: Turkish traditional rooms are smaller than westerners might expect but very atmospheric!
