We stayed for two nights in Saint John Hotel in mid December. The experience was really beyond our expectation. The hotel locates in the north part of the small city, within the walking distance from the otogar, close to the restaurant area and the train station. The hotel is newly decorated in Turkish style, provides with comfortable bed and facilities, thus offering good value. The hotel also has a terrace that provides close view of the castle. We were quite impressed on the breakfast which was attentively prepared and served by the hotel owner's family. The hotel manager is also very nice and gave us useful information for sightseeing and transportation. On the day we checked out and left for Izmir, the owner was so nice that he insisted to drive us to the railway station. In sum, we think staying at this hotel was a valueable choice.

We stayed at St John Hotel in Selcuk, Turkey for 3 nights and had a lovely time – it was our last location in Turkey and proved to be a perfect ending to our holiday. We experienced true Turkish family hospitality. St John is a newly constructed hotel in the form of a large Turkish house (will be fully operational in a few weeks, i.e. some rooms are still being done up, adequate staffing etc. ). Very aesthetically done up by the owner’s family (Mr Sabit, ) and his well-wishers. They took special care of us, personalized pick up/drop, helped us through the logistics for the sight seeing places, even drove us to one of the places to save us time and for the ease of our 3 year daughter, cooked some excellent vegetarian food. The location is within very close proximity to the key site-seeing locations and is also walking distance to the market, where there are many food options. The rooms while elegant are a bit on the smaller side if you have children and hence may want to request for a bigger room if travelling with family. On the whole a lovely homely atmosphere with fantastic location and warm people (They arranged for music and cake for me on my wifes bday and made it very special). We wish them best of luck and are sure to stay there again when we visit Selcuk.

We stayed in St John Hotel for one night and we absolutely love it. The room is a fusion of moderness and Turkish style. The owner's family issuper nice. The breakfastis enormous. The bed is most comfort one among all the B&B and hotels we stayed in Turkey. Location wise, it is settled in a nice quiet street, close to everything.

Like the two reviews before us, we found the place spectacular. My wife, two daughters age 10 and 15 stayed from Nov 17th through the 20th and could not have been more impressed. We are very experienced travelers who have stayed in lower pensions to high-end Hacienda in Mexico to the finest hotels in the U.S. like the Del Coronado in San Diego and Four Seasons in SF yet found this place to be one of the best finds for multiple reasons.
Mr. Sabit and his family were truly wonderful and welcoming. They insisted in putting us in two adjacent rooms for the price we paid for a quad. Offered coffee, tea and snacks all day. The rooms are finely decorated and totally new and clean. Great beds and baths. The breakfast was the best we had Turkey--better than the higher priced places we stayed in Istanbul and Cappadocia during our last trip. The location was 2 blocks from the business area yet in quiet residential area with kids playing in the street. First thought it odd, but later found the location better the best ones rated in Foder, LP and Frommers. It is the place to stay.

Room Tip: I suspect rooms with the windows to the courtside would be quieter but really little traffic noise i...

Me and my stayed at this small, family run hotel recently. The hotel located in the hearth of Selcuk with lots of modern amenities. Our host Mr Sabit and his team went beyond their way and felt us like we were only guests at the hotel. Our room was very clean and large. We will come back again at our next trip to Selcuk
